I work as a software engineer on a pig farm. Its like nobody cares what you doing or if you doing anything at all. Like i made a system that sends email with weekly production reports to local managers, its been working for 2 years now, but i never got a single reply or comment on it, its like nobody read them at all. All my work just generate info garbage and spam, any bussiness decision still are going to be made on a gut feeling and not be based on endless excell sheet i produce.

The reactionless zoom meeting, asking chatgpt philosophical questions, and stream of social media news headlines represents the increased reliance on technology for communication, thought, and even morality, all while actual humans become more heartless and robotic. In this way, robots have become prophetic. No one could have mustard up the courage to contradict all those voices seeking to socially terminate him. The "malfunction" of the coffee machine wasn't a failure at all, it symbolized the machine of the world turning against one defenseless human. It was said that he would destroy the #staingang, not join them. What choice had he when the very algorithms he himself had created turned on him? There is only one thing that the world can never steal from him: no one can ever wash off the mustard stain on his pants. And that is why they fear him.
@TESkyrimizer

Idk if humans have become heartless and robotic... but perhaps materialistic and apathetic is more accurate. We still love and talk but we are a lot more discriminating who we give it to. Nobody likes to fraternise with coworkers lol. It's not a big deal, is it?

I love this. Horror content often revolves around some prevalent anxiety within society, and AI-driven horror often involves asking ourselves what we'd be willing to do if we had the power to do it perfectly. As such, this video is asking "If you trained an AI to cancel people based on how we currently cancel people, would that be something we want?". If all you knew was that in the future someone would be cancelled, would you want them to be proactively cancelled right now? AIs in horror often overlook the context and human elements of circumstances when carrying out judgements. Eerily similar to the mob mentality of people that want to be able to judge the entire character of other human beings based on old, mindless or out of context tweets just so they can fuel their own ego as someone fighting for justice. And just like your typical piece of corporate dystopian fiction, this tool is now in the hands of the elite, who can hire leagues of investigators to find the most problematic thing you've ever publicly done and use it to end your career if you to decide to interfere with their interests. And after all of these attempts to find enemies we can vanquish for the greater good, witches we can burn to restore peace to the world, the inevitable happens. We see our protagonist become the very thing they sought to destroy. Labelled an enemy in a way they know they won't be able to contest - because they themselves would not have listened to their future self - they have no choice but to become what they feared the most. The parallels to real life phenomena are clear: when good people refuse to associate with people who are branded as dissidents, the only people that will still give them a platform are the people they have been involuntarily labelled a supporter of. They never realised, and maybe never will, but their worldview was subtly underpinned by the idea that good, kind people are correct, and bad, rude people are wrong. So gradually, as they are forced to acknowledge the humanity of their foes and the betrayal of their friends, their worldview warps to match. Ultimately, this video shows what cancel culture is: a tool of fear. One that can turn on even it's most evangelical followers at the shortest of notice. It is yet another way that people with only the best intentions can have their strong sense of justice abused to commit deeply hateful acts. Or, uh, maybe this video is just meant to be joke, and I'm taking it too seriously. Either way, great video.
