Line your (plugged) sink with aluminum foil. Lay your silver pieces in a single layer on the aluminum. Sprinkle generously with baking soda. Pour over boiling water to cover the pieces. All polished in a quick minute! In the 80's Robin Leach use to sell this "Flash Lightening" product on TV, but we old housewives had already been doing this for many years. No effort, no mess, nor elbow grease involved.🙂

The past couple of years I started cooking with cast iron pans from Goodwill & I love them. Then last year I found a full set of Cuisinart pots & pans with lids that are beautiful full copper on the outside & stainless steel on the inside, of course from Goodwill. It was an amazing score.

I think that cast iron is probably the best there is because of even heat but they are so heavy I cannot use them 😭all I know is that I have always been taught that stainless steel is good but do not ever cook with aluminum any one can reply here I would love to know others take on this

The kitchen aid is a fantastic find. Be sure when you are buying the attachments they don't all fit. They have a few different sizes, so be aware of that. I don't know how to know what size you need, but I have bought attachments that don't fit mine. I'm sure there are some identifying numbers somewhere, but someone else will have to help you with that. Great finds!!

Love these videos! I’ve heard that all authentic kitchen aid attachments work in the top attachment (the kitchen aid emblem comes off). Know your bowl quart size. This looks like the smaller one. Target has bowls and paddle attachments. Don’t sell. Even buying new attachments it’s a deal! The top attachment has tons of attachments. Peeler. Meat grinder. Pasta maker. So many things! I love your style.

Do you collect "the Christmas Village" houses, accessories, and people for your mantle, at Christmas time? I saw that little car at the thrift store, and thought, Oh! that would be perfect for your village! I started my collection before I had kids...they are now 24, 25, and 28...and they still love my collection...which is now on my 30 foot long built in mantle...it would be magical for your kids, and such a great memory for you to set it up, each Christmas, along with your girls... My houses are a mix of Walmart, mostly thrifted pieces, and a few Lemax Houses as gifts... how fun each October/November, to take your girls thrifting and for them to try and find new houses to add in!

Cheapest way to clean silver!- get 1.00 aluminum tray or line shallow pan w/ foil. Scatter couple tablespoons of baking soda, add silverware to tray & pour boiling water in tray. Let it sit. The chemical reaction cleans it beautifully! Rinse & dry. Totally tarnished items may need second soak. You can watch it come clean. I was spending $$$ on Tarnex & have been out. Watched a couple U-tube videos on this method. Works great!
