Update: (haven’t seen this mentioned) It was testified in court there was evidence of human remains underneath the planter which was the size of a human grave. While the body has not been found evidence of body decomposition has been detected in the soil as a stain in the dirt. Cadaver dogs also alerted to the spot as containing odor. Human blood mixed in soil were also found in the dirt surrounding Rueben’s deck though no DNA was able to be recovered. They believe Kristen’s body was moved recently when the investigation started to pick up again. So while they don’t have her body they have a good chunk of biological evidence.

I have literally dragged girls out of bars because they wanted to stay to find a party after last call when I was leaving. We came together to the bar, we leave together from the bar. You want to scream in my face you hate me, cool, we can never talk again if that's what you want. But you're getting in the taxi with me and going home. My friend once went out and was walking from one bar to meet friends at another and she got pulled into an alley by a man, and the scariest part is that people walked by and looked right at her fighting to get away, hearing her scream for help, and they just looked away and kept walking. No one is going anywhere alone if they're with me. Not one girl has ever called me the next day and been mad. At the time, they're drunk and think I'm ruining their fun, the next day they're grateful because they were too intoxicated to have been cautious and something bad definitely could've happened. I have always been terrified of this happening. It wouldn't have been my fault, it wasn't this girl's fault, but I'd for sure feel like it was for the rest of my life. We deserve a world where people feel safe alone no matter where they are, but that's not what we have, and it 100% can happen to you.

Paul Flores acted like he was trying to help her get home safe… people should be able to defend themselves, that’s one of the many reasons I support the right for college students to be taught to use and carry a firearm. A firearm is the great equalizer. Even the thought that someone might be carrying could prevent them as being seen as an easy target. I’m talking about being trained and required to prove that you are being responsible. An intoxicated person behind the wheel of a car is extremely dangerous, so I believe that if we’re going to allow college students to drive, we should allow them to protect themselves and others. *I know I’m not expressing a popular opinion. Then they said they would come out the next day and I said that they need to get there before 6am cuz they need to be there when it goes off. One important correction since this video was made, they now have eyewitnesses saying they are quite sure she was incredibly intoxicated (laying down on the lawn) after just 1-2 drinks. She was 6’1”. There is no way she was that intoxicated from just a couple drinks. She was drugged. It was premeditated rape, if not straight up premeditated murder.
@tohaovershell2 жыл бұрын
Oh my god! That is so horrific, I believe it. I’m her exact height and I’ve never gotten plastered like that from 2 drinks. No way in hell. Being drugged is super scary and can happen so fast. It always drives me crazy how police seem to assume they know the victim better than his/her friends. They will get a call that says "my friend wouldn't just disappear without a trace" and the police will say "eh... it happens all the time! No worries xoxo best of luck!!" And then they run around like chickens with their heads cut off, trying to scramble a case together. Ridiculous. Hoping Kristin gets the justice she deserves.
@tuczyn3 жыл бұрын
Yes! When you've listened to a lot of crime podcasts etc., you realize that it happens so often. Families trying to report someone missing really hear this a lot. I just can't understand it. I get that the cops have to look critically at things, but what makes them so sure they can just disregard someone's concerns like that?
@BriBriBrandi133 жыл бұрын
@@tuczyn exactly! Like, we all know the 24-48hr waiting period is BS. I’m not sure why police would just assume any call is unwarranted. There’s always a reason the family & friends call in the first place!

Police: She likes Hawaii, she must have gone there. We can't take missing person's report. I never understood the logic police have with missing persons report. They don't accept them for an extended period of time. Yet if they DON'T file one right away, they become a person of interest.

Honestly? I assume it’s laziness. The officers don’t want to deal with the work involved searching for a missing person, particularly if they’re in a subset of people that are 1)likely to temporarily go missing and reappear (Which I assume is what they view pretty much anyone between 15 and 22), 2) part of a population at high risk for death or violence such as drug addicts, sex workers, gang members and the homeless. Which frankly makes them crap officers who should find another career since they’re not doing the one they’ve got, but it’s such a pervasive issue… 😞
