10 years ago my step-dad's best friends son's house was broken into. The robbers beat up, tied up and shot the son, Michael. Michael survived his wounds but was left paralyzed. Nobody knew who broke into Michael's house and robbed him. 5 years after the robbery, Michael unfortunately passed away from his wounds. His death was ruled a homicide. Years and years went by and Michaels case went cold. On December 12, 2018, due to DNA technology Michael's murder was finally solved. Only to find out the man who murdered Michael worked for his dad and my step-dad. All these years after Michael passed away his murderer showed up to work, looking his father in his face knowing he murdered his son. Thankfully, the man is in jail and faces trial this summer. Rest In Peace Michael Temple Jr. You were a bright soul.

Later on, he apparently murdered his wife and daughter who was supposed to compete for Miss Roussillon in hopes of doing Miss France (the bodies are yet to be found), one of his exes also mysteriously disappeared a decade ago, there was a lot of blood and Javel found in his garage and in other places so he ended up killing himself while still claiming to be innocent... I was shocked and threw all of the stuff he gave us. It's the Benitez case if anyone wants to learn more about it. A lot of people have forgotten about it since he didn't give any indication of anything and the authorities don't know where to look anymore...

That might not work in some cases,for example: a man kills another man,but a woman gets her dna everywhere trying to defend the man getting killed. It might frame the woman if they just used dna. But I agree,they need to use DNA for some things

I'm a little lost. How did the lady connect the DJ to the DNA? To compare the picture to him. 😫
@crochetingcanuck5 жыл бұрын
@@TAMANDJON If I undertand correctly, first they came up with an image of what he might look like from his DNA. Then when the ladsy tracked down the family from the DNA she looked for any published information about them and found an engagement announcement for the son in the family with a photo that looked similar to the image they had from the DNA. Then they followed him and got a DNA sample from his trash to confirm.

Another interesting case, solved by DNA: I'm from the Netherlands, and in 1998 a boy went missing here. His name was Nicky Verstappen. He was 11 years old, and on a campingtrip with(I believe) his scouting. On the night of his disappearance, he went to bed at around 22.00 PM. One of his friends stated to have seen him at 05:00 AM. After that, nobody saw him again. At first, the police actually didnt take action, so the people from the town just went searching. It was a day later, when police actually got to work. They used a dog and a plane, and luckily they found him, sadly, Nicky had died. He was found in his pyjamas, but naked from the waist down. It was quickly concluded he was likely raped(DNA was found in the form of sperm on his body, I think. Not sure about that). For 20 years, the killer wasnt found. It was very sad, but it did get a lot of attention. Nicky's parents were constantly on TV, and famous detectives were involved. In January of 2018, police decided to do a big DNA-search. They basically asked 1000's of men who lived nearby the camp in 1998, who knew Nicky, or who worked at the campsite during that time, for a sample. Eventually, they got a clue: Mr. Jos Brech. In 1998, he lived in a town nearby, and they even spoke to him earlier. Back then, he was noted as an "innocent hiker". They questioned him twice, but he wasnt noted as a suspect. It was inconvenient though, that at the moment of the DNA-match Mr. Brech had been reported missing himself. Eventually, someone recognized him from a picture, he was arrested in Spain.
