Colorado issues are water rights. Can't build large developments if there is not water rights. Other towns just increased water bills to extremes. Can't require people to have lawns and charge 400 a month to water it

Inflation moderating doesn't seem to equate to prices...thousands of people losing their jobs monthly..property taxes going up by over 17%..in Minnesota just to name a few of the average people's financial woes.

I know you are also in Louisiana. We are in Livingston Parish and just got a prop tax bill that is almost TRIPLE of these years prior. Others are saying similar things. Do you have any comments or info on this. Maybe even ways to fight this?

We have a lot of federal land in Central Oregon. The homeless camp out there so much now that it's dangerous. That with the wildfire risk I'd probably only buy in a subdivision more in town than the outskirts next to undeveloped BLM land.

In Michigan there's towns you can only build on 5 acres or more. I like that. Wish I knew when young.

@JNoMooreNumbers there's quite a bit of ranch and farmland around here as well that can't be subdivided. It's more work and rules for maintaining the property but would be awesome.
