Hi Kirsten, This was very affirming as I worked with my client for our third session today. Excited to see that I'm on the right path. I definately believe coaching is holistic. Why don't more people who seek us out understand that?

Awesome on your session Amy! We live in a world that likes to look for the quick and easy fix, but most things don't work that way, especially when it comes to mental and physical health.

Hi. Great video! Thank you. I have a question about timing. I may be starting a job with a health coaching company, providing 15 minute sessions bi-weekly. I am comfortable with coaching and feel like staying on time will be my biggest challenge as I am used to 45-60 minute sessions. Any tips? Advice?

Do you do a follow up document in between sessions? I’m not sure if it would be helpful to have the client reflect or if it’s best to just talk about it in our session.

Great question! I did do this when I first got started because I told myself I had to, but I hated doing it so I stopped. ;) Instead I told my clients to take notes (as needed) so it puts them in an active learning and participation place. At the end of a session, I like to make sure they are clear on action steps for the next week and have them written down. I would also send an email if necessary after the session with any resources: ie: handouts, websites, recipes, videos that I mentioned in the session as helpful for the client. This is a personal preference for the coach so you can find what feels good and works for you.

HI Kristen, A video I'd love to see is how you came to being a health coach from a chiropractor? I've been a chiro for 24 years - love it but want to make a change! I'd love to hear what made you change to coaching at the very beginning and what you did back then. What are some simple points you wish you'd done differently in making the switch! Thank you for your content.

Hi Sara! So nice to connect with a fellow chiropractor! I work with a lot of health practitioners who are either looking to add coaching to their practice or shift to coaching model. I share my personal journey in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4rPqJapfNx8ms0si=cbGQelbBnNuPbaNN I think the most important factor is understanding how and where you can help others most powerfully, knowing how to communicate this and leveraging your existing warm market effectively....this makes all the difference in how quickly and easily you shift. If you have any additional questions, let me know! :)
