One of my best line company leaders was a Registered Nurse. Yeah, we'd help out in personal time, to avoid legislated law. Me, just get a national security letter, call it a day. I liked the Nurse better, who was a Platoon Sergeant of infantry. Why do so many people find it impossible or grudgingly a problem to feed the many in a nation of plenty, when things turn into shit? This veteran wants to know.

I would expect this from bikers- they are very decent people. During the pandemic in my local community there were bikers delivering food and groceries to the elderly and the sick. They patrol the routes to school so kids get to and from school safely. I have even seen bikers go into late night supermarkets to ensure the female staff get home safely. Trust me- they don't take no for an answer. They always ensure the young lady gets home safely. We need more like them!

I am 60 years old. I was overweight as a child because everybody's mom took advice from some doctor Spock. I was teased every day of my life when I started kindergarten all the way through 6th grade. It was a bad experience but it helped me become a good person it helped me see the kind of people I did not want to be. It has it touched my heart to see that in my lifetime alone we have evolved to where we not only are more in touch with our feelings but are brave enough to act in ways to defend people emotionally
@michaelslaughter65572 жыл бұрын
It's funny how as we get older the people that picked on everyone, become the joke. I had similar experience. It's 25 years later, and those people have gone nowhere. They all have problems. Some are actually infact overweight now and spend time and money to lose weight. Others became drug addicts, others suicide. The people who got bullied are all thriving now. Families, job success, all the finer things in life. Karma is a great thing. Be Happy forget the past, because it doesn't matter at all. You just gotta get through the ignorant fog of being a young person aged 5 to 25.

I was bullied when I was a child, I hated it very much. Bullying is something you may never forget till the victim becomes strong enough to fight back. It's saddening because I never even said a cuss word in my childhood or use any manner of disrespect till I learnt to grow up. I became a little aggressive like a bully but I never hang out with bullies at all! I just hang out with children who remind me of myself because I didn't want them to be bullied the same way. It makes me very very happy to see these bikers rescue that little girl from her trouble and build a wonderful friendship with her, there's no telling what effect those bullies might've had on her. I used to wear a badge in Miami. One day, i confronted a knife-wielding mugger. Couldn't get my gun out. Dropped my radio. Of the 30 or so people who could see what was happening, one guy stepped in to help. 50 years old, over weight, Hells Angels jacket, tattoos all over. But he probably saved my life. Never judge a book by it's cover. That tattooed biker might just be a former Navy Seal. Peace, my friends.

@Los Fromla: I think you've just taken his anecdote and deliberately turned it on its head to cause a debate lol. I'm British and even I can see that drawing their tasers or their head exploding .45's is what they often do first. If you're a copper in a country where you don't KNOW who's got a gun (meaning the safest way to think is: "Everybody is armed"), are you really gonna be that copper who's dumb enough to try arresting a potentially armed suspect by "tackling him"? Your career would probably be over before your 3rd arrest (as in you were mortally wounded). In other countries that have much tighter gun regulations (such as UK, which abolished its version of "the 2nd ammendment" around the 70's or 80's, after ONE school & village shooting massacre) its different. In these countries, the police CAN be armed, but they only deploy in special situations, and its obvious why, we're not living in a country where EVERY SINGLE PERSON (even that old lady over there) could be packing a WWII P48. In UK its still relatively easy to get a gun (its just a LOT more expensive) but the rate of shootings and fatal shootings in UK is likely so much less than America that it isn't even "a figure". So, coppers in US being quick to draw just seems like insurance; nothing to do with being a pussy, just a logical decision.

Laughed when the guy admitted that he was actually a nurse. He had this just wonderful smile on his face and you can see the goodness in his eyes and the eyes of the other men who helped this young girl. God bless you men! I've heard of a biker club that also does this kind of advocacy to help abused animals. You are all just amazing! Kids who get bullied could really benefit from programs to help them learn how to stand up for themselves effectively. There are many different techniques, and any child can learn them.

I just took em off, and we started swinging.. never bothered us again.. last for a while.. dude said he won but he never bothered us so I don’t really care as much..

My older brother was a biker , along with his circle of friends. My high school was kinda rough around the edges , but nobody - and I mean nobody - busted my balls or roughed me up because they knew who he was. School bullies are cowardly like that - they don't want a fight they want a victim. In my experience bikers have been some of the best people I've ever known , & I'm not surprised at all by this great story.

When I very little the Hell's Angels had a clubhouse behind our house, they were very nice to us, my 3 brother's and I we loved them. If there was going to be a party or meeting, they would tell my parents so they could make sure we were in the house after a certain time. They used to bring us candy, ice cream, my parents weren't part of their gang, they just looked out for us kids. It was nothing for us to walk outside and see my dad under a car or checking a bike, with 2 or 3 of the guys talking to him, dad was a mechanic. As I got older, I read about the troubles they had with the law, but I've never forgotten the kindness they showed my brothers and I, the one's behind us were very good people.
@brock30102 жыл бұрын
Hell's Angels and the Punishers are completely different. The Angels are a 1%er gang. 1%er gangs rob,rape, kill,steal,vandalize,put drugs and guns on the street. As well as hookers. Not all motorcycle clubs are bad. Just the ones that are 1%er because of what I said earlier. If you wanna be a sucker and listen to their brainwashed/mind control manipulation then go for it. There is a sucker born every minute...js

Heath Jellytot Lol. What are they gonna do? Talk to the bully? xD. If scaring was the solution to the problem, the dad could do this as well, but it is not. Bullies only understand the language of force. Beat them up and they move on to another target. The nurse here probably is gonna bake him cookies. lol.
@davidhoffman57899 жыл бұрын
RafaelMarcF22, The actual technical skills required of today's nurses make them more like advanced paramedics. It is a job that requires a lot of thinking. As long as you can function at that aspect, hospitals no longer care if you are male or female.
