I got metal braces when I was 32, my treatment plan was 28 months. I was a mom of 3 and have no regrets once I got my braces off I went thru so many retainers. My permanent bottom retainer is still rocking with me since 2008. My orthodontist fixed my chip tooth and whitened my teeth. He is still in practice but practices 2 hours away. I got my braces off the week my oldest daughter and I took a trip to Disney World with her sixth grade class (I was sooo happy). Also when my children were younger and I would take them to their dental appointments, I was always asked whether I had braces. My youngest daughter had braces very young twice to fix a crossbite, she’ll pay for her braces this time around (lol). Glad you are happy, welcome to the post braces club. Remember to wear your retainer as per yr ortho instructions...teeth shift even after being corrected. Have a good one and keep smiling!!! 😁

Looks great! I got mine late, too. Had 4 teeth pulled for the same reason. The orthodontist made before and after casts from my impressions and put them in his display case..that's how mangled my teeth were lol

4 months with braces still not the best teeth I have but I have seen so much progress in my teeth can’t wait till I have a smile I always dreamed ❤️lol

I had my braces late in my 30’s MAKE sure to WEAR YOUR RETAINER every night I still wear my mine and I’m 44 now.

Beautiful results! i got braces when I was 20 but my teeth ended up shifting back over the years due to me not using my retainer. Now, 15 years later I'm planning on getting braces again.

So... I am STILL wearing my Invisalign. I recommend anyone with severe discipline to get them. Thank goodness I didn’t have to be refitted for the trays because it’s expensive but I should have been done. But I have some more motivation to really complete it. I’m a few months out.

My son got his braces at 12. Last February. He had overbite. It was 7k. Aethna paid 3500.00. He had the top in February in 2019. Bottom may 2019. He has another year. Whoa huge difference. Adam went 2 weeks ago. He broke a wire. I know the dentist said my son needed them. He gets red.

Yayyy, I’m happy for you! I always WANTED braces but didn’t need them. 😑 I used to put aluminum foil on my teeth every day after school ... pretending I had braces. The things kids do. Happy for you, girl!

I got braces in HS..1994..I am a mom of 6...currently 2 of my daughters have braces...they have 1yr to go..and I have 1 that still suck her thumb so its a waste to get them for her...my youngest is 3 and Im sure he will need them too. My 2 oldest are too old to be on my insurance..but they say they want them too. Your outcome is beautiful. Why have them whitened in Maryland and not Florida?

Did your face change during the braces treatment? I am one year into the braces treatment, 41 years old and my face changed dramatically even though I didn’t have any teeth extraction. I hate the way my face looks now and I want my old face back even if that means crooked teeth again

This is gonna be a weird, sad one However.. any advice to someone with crooked teeth (me) who gets depressed every time I look in the mirror? I can’t afford braces right now and it’s so depressing 😫

Affirm yourself and say I can’t afford braces right now but I will in the future. Start saving $5 per check for them. Get the consultation so you know how much you need. You can even purchase your one separate dental insurance to help you pay. Your crooked smile does not define you. Hope this helps!
