KTM Duke 890 Heated Grips Install - KTM Power Parts

Thinking of installing the KTM power-parts heated grips on your KTM? You should defiantly watch this video! The heated grips from KTM seamlessly integrate directly within your bikes dash/computer so you don't have to worry about any new controls/buttons etc.
Having heated grips when riding long distances in cooler locations certainly makes the trip much more enjoyable! In this video, Karl and Jessie will install from start to finish the KTM Powerparts Heated Grips on a 2021 KTM Duke 890. The process would be the same for KTM Bikes.

great video…people complain about your video install. it’s your bike do what you want. you made the install look easy so i did mine myself. tweaked it here and there and it works great! glad i didn’t have to take it to the dealer. thanks!

Put mine on today ... pretty straightforward forward and this surely helped. FYI the dash does NOT need to come off. As far as this crew: TALK LESS and show more of the critical parts in the installation! The most confusing part was how to get the little block on the throttle grip heater wires positioned inside the throttle grip housing correctly and that part is not addressed in this video and the imagery is all mucked up in this video. Also using zip ties and not cutting the ends off is a hack job. If you spend a little extra time positioning all the wiring and extra wiring under the cover it will mount easily. There is enough space. You just need to neatly position all the wiring. Also, Testing the grips only works with a running engine! They will not come on just on ignition. One important step forgotten in this video is: You want to count the rotations it takes to remove the top center headlight screw when you start this job because it also is the adjustment of the headlight aiming. If you correctly count how many turns it took to take it out you can correctly position your headlight spot on when you finish the installation.

Nice video, you just didn't put it in the groove for the throttle grip sensor. So at full throttle it has to pull your cable.

Helpful video! I realized that grips wont turn on if I dont start the bike engine.

Thanks! Yes, that is correct. It will show that they are turned on on your screen, but they will only heat up if the engine is running. ✌️
