MK X comics showed that when Kuai Liang, Hanzo Hasashi and Jackson Briggs were freed from Quan Chi by Raiden's efforts (same event that happened in the game in Sonya's chapter), Sub-Zero had a nightmare about what I said earlier and woke up in panic, attacking Raiden before he calmed him down in the Sky Temple.
