The fortification in Kumamoto is definitely one of the most beautiful in the entire country. Kyushu is such a nice region of Japan. One of my really good friends over there lives in Fukuoka. Love the size of the city, is about the perfect size. Fukuoka soko was also the company that handled moving my stuff back to the states, I've still got a few of the empty boxes from back then, was going through some old stuff a few months back and decided to fill one of the old boxes up with some old excess comforters and bedding, tapped it up and now it's a new gaming monitor table in my office, haha, just love the look to the box with the logo. Great vid man, enjoying seeing parts of your Kyushu trip on film!

Thanks for the video. Interesting note though the castle is not the original structure, the old castle was destroyed long ago. This is a modern reconstruction.

Luke what happened to the other video where you were at a theme park? I wanted to see it again.

I cant help but imagine what the original inhabitants of that castle would say/do/think if they were to revisit today and see how the surrounding areas have changed.

You can walk around this place on google street view, and if you do you'll notice there's a ton of severe damage everywhere, piles of rubble etc. According to Wiki it was hit with earthquakes in April 2016 and is gonna take a long time to restore.
