Absolute flames. I f***ing loved this match. Watched it live during that little bit of time we had satellite cable in Kentucky. Both Kurt & Shawn were different men after that match. I thought Angle was the better performer (mic skills, versatile as a chicken heel and a killer) but Michael's in a single match could just go like no other. He and Hart are in a category to themselves when it comes to getting you invested in a match (during the match).
@saljewsteinbergowitz11 ай бұрын
I dk if he was the better performer... I love Kurt Angle... But I honestly think Shawn was the greatest in-ring performer of all time... And his mic skills were amazing as well... Just watch the 2005 montreal promo.. I was actually dying laughing... "Who's your daddy montreal" hahahah

Shawn Michaels is the better all around superstar and wrestler
@Youtube304s9 ай бұрын
@@JPK169 lol. No. Not from a holistic perspective. Michaels is a top 3 in ring worker. So is Angle. In terms of playing face/heel, angle is better. Michaels is a terrible face, but a natural heel. Angle is more believable. He can actually whip ass, Michaels does not have that attribute. Kurt is also better on the mic, though michaels has more neutral charisma.
@SohamBhattacharya31059 ай бұрын
@@KZbin304s Michaels was terrible face? What are you talking about? His 2000s run was almost exclusively as a face and that run is what cemented his legacy. His 2nd DX run with HHH was non-stop babyface comedy. I can understand preferring Angle over HBK, that's a matter of personal taste. But to say that HBK was a bad face is just flat out wrong!
@Youtube304s9 ай бұрын
@SohamBhattacharya3105 he's not a ratings mover as a face, barely is as a heel. While is talent is as good as any, people don't tune in for him sorry if that hurts you, but it's the truth. He's an older dolph ziggler. Great match, crickets when he tries to sell ppvs.
@JusRed483 жыл бұрын
Heels that are morally bad but still competitively respectable are super underrated. Not every heel has to cheat or be afraid of facing his opponent out of cowardice. Make them smart, make them logical, make them want to actually beat someone. You can also make them cruel, you can make them bullies, you can make them selfish, and so on. It's not like winning fair automatically makes someone a babyface. People literally hate some sports teams JUST BECAUSE they do nothing but keep winning.

I remember only really being excited for the undercard of Wrestlemania 21 honestly. Like we all knew Cena and Batista were gonna win their world titles that year, and the matches would be fine, and that was good, we were excited to see both of them make it to the top, but the undercard had a couple of big dream matches on it, the kind where, as an avid viewer, you weren't analyzing the finish, there was no "right"winner to the match to make the story good, either side could win, and the story being told would be great either way, and you are just excited to see them go. Those two matches in particular for me were Eddie vs Rey for the opener, and Kurt vs Shawn. Who wins? Who cares? It'll be amazing. I feel like Kurt vs Shawn was something rare in Wrestlemania history, an attraction match that was was sold on the wrestling itself. Like these days attraction matches are basically just sold on "Lets get some random D list celebrity in the ring and have them make a mockery of The Miz" or something. This was an attraction in that it was a novelty, because this was back when the brand extension actually meant something, so having an inter-brand feud like this was a big deal, but it was mostly just sold on the wrestling, two hall of fame caliber wrestlers who you KNEW would have a great match, and just getting them in the ring and letting em go at it.

No doubt plus his idea of "journalism" is observing what's going, claiming he has anonymous sources, the next day releasing a story saying an anonymous source said the opposite (as in playing both sides of a coin), and then saying "I nailed it!".

Stay away from journalists of all kinds of entertainment who tell you "what makes things good and bad". It can be enlightening, but there's no end game, it's just regressive, so what's the point of constructive criticism if it's not going to lead to anything progressive? The idea is things need tough live sometimes abd they just get them then, but thars not tough love if there's no resolution.
