Funeral potatoes are what you bring to the house when people gather to eat after the funeral. Quick and easy and hearty

Definitely...shred your own!!!!😊😊😊❤❤
@darlap2724Ай бұрын
I always shred my own cheese as the store bought shredded has corn starch on it to keep it from sticking together and it doesn't melt as well (it's also cheaper to shred your own).❤

You asked the question about "exact measurement" vs "eyeballing it." For me it depends. If it's a new recipe I like measuring it until I get a feel for that recipe. All my standards and recipes I got used to making I eyeball it. Sometimes I want extra garlic sometimes I want extra pepper whatever. Depends on what I'm making and when.

Funeral Potatoes are called that, because they are eaten at funerals and other potlucks.
@conniewhall3109Ай бұрын
"Funeral potatoes": Ladies, especially, love to bring over casseroles, especially, for the post-funeral get together and for the post-funeral get together life. So the bereaved have ready to eat meals. Do you wonder: the more casseroles, the more friends? Probably. Blessings now.

Funerals mostly happen at churches which often have various church members bring a dish to pass. Hence the name funeral potatoes for the potato casserole.

All of the "light, low fat, diet" stuff you claim to make it "healthier" is actually worse for you. The more that is processed the less "healthier" it really is. You two are great, I still watch your videos just because... 🙏💜🤗
@vickiburacker4578Ай бұрын
You are SO correct. I always try to use "REAL" food and have actually lost weight! Sodium (in processed foods, canned and some frozen foods) and high fructose corn syrup are our real enemies. Please read labels and rinse canned foods. 🍝😋
@theresastrassler1289Ай бұрын
I agree! I am diabetic and the low-fat diet stuff. They actually have more sugar in it to make it “supposedly healthier “ but it’s higher in carbs which are hidden sugar calories. So I would rather eat the regular stuff than the fake dietary stuff. Just.FYI
