Congratulations 🤗. The reason your son is different is because he has no screen , no sugar, and his play is learning through your interaction with him. . 😊. When you bring the second sweet son home, realize it takes time to get in a new rhythm, so be patient with yourself and Guido.🥰. I truly believe God blesses each of us with our children for us, as their parens, to pour into their lives as much as possible. People use the term, "qualityy time over quantity," but no, its both. What a joy it is to be with your own children, to teach, love, and even to be bored with them. .My mother, taught us how to spend time being bored but never lazy. I love her so much for walking us through all the varios emotions and circumstances of life because she and my dad were there until we were young adults and left home. Teenage years were most important. I never remember coming home from school to an empty house. It was ideal and Im aware. My point is to make it a priority if you possibly can. Plus,my grandparents were very involved, as well. My parents also prioritized their marriage. We were so secure in their love and commitment to one another and to God we never had to worry our family would break. My parents wouldn't let it. They worked at itmwith the firm mindset their was no other option than life together as a family. Im 73 now and am so very grateful for the life they made for us. Thanks Kylie.😊

David, congrats on being a 6x grandpa. I too am a 6x grandparent living in California. I always dreamed of moving to Italy, if not permanently, at least for a very long vacation. We are about to retire and move out of California, due to the cost & poor management of our state. We're looking at Georgia, where our first son moved 3 years ago with 3 of our grandchildren. The hardest part will be leaving our son in California & our 3 grandchildren here, my siblings are also still in California. All of our friends have moved out of California, our closest friends moved to Texas last Christmas. They are enjoying it very much. God Bless your future move.

I’m 53. My first 2 are boys and younger 2 are girls. Blessed to have amazing 4 adults. They all come with their own unique personalities. It’s such a joy and I know you’re going to embrace your journey with so much love and joy. I’m Malaysian and now after my kids are all extremely independent I’ve moved to North Italy finding my own path for another 50 years hopefully. Life is full of surprises and possibilities. Enjoy the journey Kylie. Children are a huge blessing. Wishing you well. May you have a blessed and safe delivery. I agree on journaling. I journal a lot and it’s my way of speaking out. On paper and it feels good.

The way your mother raised you and your sister is exactly how I raised my son. Sleep, food, love, affection, rules, boundaries and more. It’s just common sense in my book. It’s easy, it’s just choices and putting your child’s upbringing first is essential. I strongly believe if that’s not going to be first and foremost. Kids thrive on knowing and understanding expectations. It just makes life better for all. And you don’t have to be a stay at home parent to implement this, one just needs to be consistent.

As someone who has been trying to conceive for the last 5 years, and currently in the middle of IVF… you handled this part of the conversation so beautifully and respectfully ( my husband literally said, wow, she didn’t say one thing that triggered me 😂) which is saying a lot when you’re in a highly sensitive season / time of life.

Thank you so much for your authenticity in your videos. I have so many friends who are in the stage of wanting families and relationship, improving themselves, serving their communities, and yet they do not have partners to love or be loved by. It is such a difficult thing to watch and I was so glad someone was speaking to it online in a way that is so caring towards those individuals. My husband and I are expecting our first child next summer and I was encouraged when you were talking about fertility and not waiting until the circumstances are perfect necessarily if you long for children. We are in our mid 20s and I have been worried that we will encounter some disapproval for not waiting until we were more permanently settled to begin a larger family. Your videos are so uplifting and your graciousness is beautiful!

Totally agree with your mom. As a mom of one son I never went through the temper meltdown that I see today. He never destroyed we spoke to him in proper english and got him interested in books and time with us. It paid off. We have an amazing relationship with him still at 28yrs we go on trips still and before he proposed to his girlfriend he talked to me about it. He is an engineer and is wonderful human being. I love his finance. Kylie whatever sacrifice you and your husband make for your children will pay off in spades. Good for you!

Mom of two boys here, three years apart. They were the best if friends and worst of enemies. With my boys it swung the gammet. If they were quiet I knew they were into something probably together, that they shouldn't be in to or doing. They were the joy of my morning and the sorrow of my afternoon. They are grown now and I miss my little boys so much. When they are small they are so sweet and cute, and cuddly. I miss the even the mess and noise of my little children. My advice ia to find toys and intrests they both share but also things they like individualy so that they will play together well but also have something to do on their own when they need the separation time. Enjoy them as much as you can. God bless you.

Another mother of two boys (ours were 2 1/2 years apart). I remember when our second son was born, the older one's nursery school teacher asked him who his best friend was and he said his brother, of course. And, so it has always been. They were each other's best men at their weddings and now they are parents of our five grandchildren and they rely so much on each other for advice and camaraderie. I will say that our second son "gave" his older brother a bicycle when he was born as a thank you fro welcoming him into the family--and that did a lot to make our older son predisposed to like and love the new baby. Five years later, we welcomed a daughter and the three of them are very close but the boys definitely have a special bond. Sending you heartfelt wishes for an easy last trimester and delivery of this precious new life. xo

Hallo Kylie I am turning 60. Have 2 boys. One 25 and one 18. Your little one reminds me so much of my oldest. He could also consentrate from a very young age. His piano teacher taught him like for an adult and he was only 3. More serious and very precise with everything. Love and guide his younger brother alot. The second one is the happy go lucky one. Love life and adores his older brother. They get along sooo well. Blessed to have them. Boys are much easier than girls and lesz expensive 😊 I am sure you will enjoy yours. We are also only 2 sisters. Love from a 36 degree celsius South Africa. Your videos are the best! Thank you!

Congratulations and the health is the most important thing in having a child. I have two boys and they are truly opposites, but they both have a love of creative art. One loved art growing up and is an artist and the other was into music and trying different instruments. They played well together up until around ages 8 and 5, then grew apart when they made their own friends at school. As adults they don’t talk often, but enjoy each other when together. Ooh just back from a walk to find this fabulous update. I have to say I have two older brothers (born less than a year apart!) and none of us had meltdowns. Our mum was always very calm, but also very clear about consequences if we behaved badly. I have friends with bi-lingual children and both of them have opted for speaking the second language in the house and English outside (but luckily their spouses both learned French/Italian so that could be done quite easily). Really enjoyed your 'chat' with us Kylie!

I had 2 boys, 2 years apart. I was hoping for a girl the first time, and actually cried when the ultrasound showed he was a boy. But oh my gosh! I fell totally in love when he was born, and he was the most amazing, fun, sweet, loving, and smart little child, and I would not have traded him for a girl! With my 2nd pregnancy, it really didn't matter as much to me. My son wanted a brother, and I now had the boy experience and found it to be the greatest joy of my life. Yes, I had another boy, and he was an equally amazing little child and both of them have grown into successful adults who have made us incredibly proud. And, guess what? Son #1 and his wife had their own little boy last year, and Son #2 and his wife are expecting a little boy in the spring! Yay for little boys!! (BTW - before the boys had children, we did a family trip to Italy and stayed in Tuscany part of that time. We all have the fondest memories of that part of the world!)

Montessori is good but I found a more complete one in which I specialized 😊, high scope, they work individually on all the competencies, but also in groups, and it has an excellent focus on learning to resolve conflicts with others, not only does a teacher intervene to tell them what to do, but they also help them learn to negotiate and resolve.@@KylieFlavell

No gender reveals in those days...at first I thought I wanted a girl the second time around, but was actually relieved when we had another boy because I knew what to expect lol! We were fortunate that they weren't destructive, got along well (for the most part...we only heard what tricks they pulled on one another when our eldest was best man at his brothers wedding and shared their shenanigans!) Hi Kylie...Last time I commented was right after you delivered your first boy. However, when you asked for mother's who had more than 1 boy, I had to write again! We had two boys, 2 yrs & 3 months apart. I too would have loved to experience raising a little girl (I came from a family of 3 girls), but the Lord knew what He was doing when He put our family together. I thought I had raising boys down (having already given birth to 1), but our boys couldn't be more different. Our first son was more quiet, loved reading and working on his computer, art projects, driving cars, and eventually learning to fly my father's private airplane. He was more of a loner. He also had a very bad case of colic; crying from 4-8:00 pm every day for 5 months. It made my first mothering experience challenging, frightening, and I was afraid of what each day would hold. I felt completely inadequate at being a mother. Magically at 5 months he completely changed, and became a happy baby thank God, and I was so thankful as we began to bond and I enjoyed mothering more and more. My second baby was completely different. Both birth methods were completely the same by the way, we used the natural Lamaze method of giving birth, something that was popular in the 1980's when I gave birth in the US. My second son was happy from the moment he woke up; almost never cried, adventuresome, social, loved to build things with his hands, was very physical, and always wanted to be outside. As my boys grew, they complimented each other. There was friction when they were younger, as one was more careful with his things and didn't want them bothered, and the second boy just wanted to play with his brother and would "pester" him a bit. However, as they grew they learned to work together, and truly enjoyed having each other around. I loved being the mother of boys, truly I wouldn't want to change anything, other than wishing my first boy wouldn't have had to suffer from colic for so long. But being a mother of boys has been so special. I'm excited for you and your husband. Praying your birth experience will be so much better this time around. God Bless you sweet lady.

Wow. Thank you for sharing all this. That sounds like my experience with Gianfranco - screaming in pain while I held him and rocked him sometimes for 5 hours at a time, every day. Then he magically got better. Interesting to hear how two children of the same gender, raised in the same way can be so different. Makes me excited to meet this next child. 😊

@@KylieFlavell Yes I truly felt for you as you were going through your initial struggles with Gianfranco, but you were getting so much advice I didn't want to just add to your frustration. My sister put me in contact with a group called, LaLeche, and that book helped me the most. I was eliminating everything...didn't drink any alcohol or coffee from the time I got pregnant with both boys. I eliminated gassy veggies, chocolate, and on and on. Nothing seemed to help, oh and the doctor gave me some kind of "drops" to help with the colic, but I was afraid to use them. I remember how alone I felt, I didn't know any other women who stayed home with their children. It was so isolating. I nursed my first boy for 16 months, and had to quit nursing my second early (9 months) as my milk supply started to drop off. Anyways, I was so relieved my second boy didn't suffer like the first. Quite honestly, I'm surprised I wanted to try again for another baby, the first experience was so hard on me. But time does heal...you forget a bit.

Congratulations on another sweet boy. I have two, 23 months apart and though they are so different from each other in likes, looks and abilities, at 18 and 20 they are so close. They trust each other, turn to each other for support and celebrate each other’s victories. It couldn’t be better. And like you said, I have boys who can concentrate for long periods of time, loved cuddles, are very thoughtful of others and yes….a few broken bones did happen. All the best to your family.

Dear Kyle how blessed to have another son. I have four children all very close son,daughter,son, son. My children are all two years apart. And my two last sons are like having twins so close. We were told once a family that plays together stays together and for us it is so true my children are 29,27,25,23. And they are like all so close. Not saying there was some good fights when small. Also people are so bad about steroids typing boys. My boys always cooked with me and one loved to sit on my lap when i sewed, his wife wants him to get a sewing machine. Love the cooking so inspiring.

We have two boys and I also worked from home running a family business. As the children became older I supplied retail gift shops with handmade crafts such as porcelain antique laced figures. Also carved lamp bases for an interior design business. I had my own firing kiln. Then we were blessed with another baby a daughter with an eight and ten year gap between our first two boys. It was wonderful absolutely no issues at all with the extended age gap we all enjoy each others company :-). We are still running our business and I am an artist exhibiting into local and overseas galleries. Love your vlog’s and fantastic recipes with glimpses into family Tuscan life . Best wishes for you, your familles and your baby to be.

Congratulations Kylie, a boy!! 💝 I have 3 boys and I’m so thankful. I’d have 3 more if I could! 2 personal thoughts~ I didn’t do what you did, I married the man I was deeply in love with who I knew had some problems, and 11 years later… all I can say is love is not enough, and the stronger thing to do, the better thing is to leave beforehand. You have no idea how much I wish I’d had someone like you to have shared this video when I was in that place. Also, as for fertility, my dear friend from church is 86. Her mother didn’t meet her husband until she turned 40, and then had 4 children in 5 years! That was in 1936! It’s not too late until it’s literally too late. And then, you always have adoption as an option, and my dad was adopted and my grandmother always told me how grateful she was to have her adopted children. Blessings and love from Canada!

You are absolutely right about taking care of your children at home when they are small children. Just like your mother, I worked with small children and in prestigious private institutions! where the teachers with angelic faces greeted the children in front of their parents in an adorable way. When the parents left, they forbade me to hold or console any crying child of the 3, 4, 5 year old children, because they told me that I was going to turn them into annoying crybabies. I was even fired from a job at a school once because as a pedagogue and teacher and above all as a human being that I am, I recorded the inappropriate behavior of the teachers towards the children of a group of 6 to 7 year olds, and the director, who was a woman, chose to fire me because I was a dissatisfied witness. She continued the horrible treatment of the children. Imagine, one time a teacher wiped the face and snot of 20 children with the same handkerchief. She said it was to save money, and I got angry every time, or because they were yelled at and punished in the yard for long periods of time in the sun, that is why I am totally against having a child in daycare, where the sexuality of children is also at risk. Sorry for going on too long but it is important that those who want to have a child know these things in order to save enough so that one of the relatives can take care of the babies at home until the child can speak and know how to report abuse.

And did what your little one did by explaining to their dad in English what i just spoke in Afrikaans. Children are like little spunges. They learn very quickly. So, carry on with both. I was also 33 with 1st boy and 41 with second. No problems. Keep fit and healthy like you do Kylie.

I have two boys. They are 16 years apart. I was only 20, having my first son who has Down syndrome. But now that I am old and both kids are adults. We all live together, and we are close to each other. We are thoughtful of each other, and we all get along well. That's because I kept my boys always in the kitchen. I was cooking, baking, or frying up something yummy. Remember, everything is bigger in Texas. I never knew how to cook in small portions. Go big or go home was my saying. I would cook for my neighbors just so I could try new things.

I didn't find it hard to be fun and playful while being very firm about boundaries. It just takes saying what you mean and meaning what you say and understanding 'no' is nothing to feel guilty about. I had three girls and was a single parent for some of their upbringing. One thing I did was really think about the rules I put in place- were they for the children's good? A lot of the parents I observed created rules for their own selfish reasons. The result was that there weren't many rules but the ones there were couldn't be got around. I don't know how I conveyed that because I never said much about it but my daughters say they were very clear about what they weren't to do. I trusted them quite a bit as they got older but always said that I'd trust them till they gave me a reason not to. It worked extremely well and they've grown into three high functioning women I'm very proud of. 😍

Sensational two boy's; even being a gay man I have the opportunity to be able to help bringing up two boy's. They both were so different one was very independent; the other need just a little more of hugs and attention. Those hugs from the boy's meant more than living in France vacationing. I don't think there is a way to say to you that there is a certain formula. Every person/child is different. I think you are just beautiful and everyone of us are better people just to have the ability to have you in are life. Very happy that your family is so lucky to have you in life. Love you guy's! ❤

@@KylieFlavellJust do what you are doing including with the languages. I am U.S. American. I gave birth and live in Germany. We tried the one parent one language and I was the only English speaker but had to speak German in my every day life. My kids too, knew from a very early age which language to use with which people. Then when visiting my family in the U.S., I would speak English and Italian to my immigrant parents. It all worked out and my children are fluent in written and spoken English and German. Plus in school they learned French and Spanish but Italy/ Italian is their most appreciated culture because of the importance of family.

I feel so much sadness that I may not have time to have children (I’m single, nearly 34), but like you Kylie, finding the right relationship has always been my priority. I froze some eggs but I know it’s not a fail safe backup. I am really open to adoption as well, but I feel like a lot of men only want their own biological children. I’m trying to make my peace with every eventuality but it does break my heart to think about it sometimes and it adds a lot of pressure to the dating process 💔
@KylieFlavell
@KylieFlavell Күн бұрын
I completely understand your sadness but 34 still gives you time. The frustrating thing is that one can’t expedite ‘love’ and dating these days seems harder than ever. But I know women who have had healthy pregnancies at 43 and 45. The good thing is that usually dating in your thirties, men and women are much more adept when they meet someone at deciding what their intentions are and knowing if a partnership will work, so your whole life could change in the space of a few months. 😘😘😘
