Second place looked very unique. I prefer heavy broth ramen in winter and light based other times of the year. Most meat is pork in ramen available in sydney. Though number of shops is growing. loved that there is beef and duck.

there are difference ramen culture from north kyoto(Ichijoji) to south kyoto(minamiku). Traditional ramen of north kyoto(天一、ゑびす、魁力屋、極鶏、ますたに) is made the soup by chicken borne and vegetable,it means north kyoto were biggest farm. Traditional south kyoto ramen(第一旭、藤、大栄、萬福、横綱、銀閣) is made soup by pork,it means south kyoto were biggest pig ranch.

How very nice to see you, Shingo, and Kevin in the same video. I absolutely love Ramen! I am easily convinced to visit these Ramen Shops when I travel to Kyoto. The third shop is insane. That's way too much Ramen to eat, but it does look sooooo good!

Funny how you ‘ran into’ Kevin. Did he miss you while you were setting up the camera? LOL! Love when Shingo joins you. His infectious laugh makes me smile. The members & rsvp only ramen shop was unexpected and strange. How does the owner stay in business by declining customers? The music you selected totally matched the psychedelic vibe of that place! Great job on covering these recommended and unique places, JD! 🍜

1. The fact that there is a place in this world given the nickname "ramen town" is enough of a reason for me to want to move there. 2. the 2nd restaurant's thick soup sounds really interesting. The way the soup coats the noodles reminds me of pasta coated in thick sauce.

Karaage and ramen together; what a great idea. I wish my local ramen shops offered that. One more thing: I can't image eating that 4.5x normal size bowel of ramen. My stomach can barely take a normal bowl. BTW I like the music cue in the first segment; it's a nice counterpoint to the locale and culture.

The best ramen is Yuzu citrus ramen❣️I’d love to try it but the ramen shop is so spooky, looks like a haunted house.. what’s going on in the second floor...!? Specially the owner with a white mask!
