Just tried my first sweet chaffle... AND OMG! What is even happening right now? So fluffy and delicate... no grainy/grittiness, etc. I’ve fallen in love. If someone served me that at a donut shop, I’d never think it was ‘diet’ and I’d be praising the chef! And I love watching you two. Cute trying to be competitive. lol. I’m so sold on ALL of them! Stacy’s smile (always at the ready) is truly infectious. That’s such a sweet trait. Thank you both for literally changing my life - along with my few other favourite keto channels. You guys are my faves, for just being a joy to watch. I’m still in shock over that sweet chaffle. I’ve experimented with low carb baking, over the years, always using cream cheese, but, though my results were ‘good enough,’ “fluffy” was hard to get. I feel like I’m dreaming, that I can lose weight with so many scrumptious foods. What a wonderful keto world. 💖😍🤩🥳

I bought a square chaffle maker for my bread flavor for sandwiches. Works good. Get one of those very small whisks. I don’t have one but a vlogger did and it worked well. I’m going to get one. We chaffle makers do help one another. I really love your recipes. My fav nuts are pecans to use in my cookies but I’m going to try the Mac. Nut. That you used.

I agree! Sharing is caring! We have a "bready" sourdough chaffle recipe that Greg came up with that works well for us. I never used to be a fan of sourdough, but after eating a few of them, I've found that I appreciate the flavor. I'm starting to get more and more into pecans....pre-Keto, the only nuts I ate were peanuts, lol. Keto has definitely expanded my flavor profile!

I always put cream cheese in my chaffles along with the mozzarella cheese. But I saw a vlogger in my quest to make my Chaffle journal , she made crispy chaffles using egg whites instead of using the creaminess of the yolk also. I made square chaffles then cut these crispy ones in 4 squares to make crackers. I added diff flavors and a tad more salt. I used all but the beagle in a few for the cracker goodness. Some garlic some with sharp cheddar cheese powder. Interesting.

Off subject, but your chaffle video did bring me here 😊 What did you use for the pink color on your brown hair? What brand is it and where can I get it? Also, is it permanent or temporary color? Any details you can give me so I get the correct coloring would be greatly appreciated! I have brown hair as well and was told that I would need to lighten my hair to blond for the color to show. I can see it perfectly on you and it looks great! Thanks!
@KzooKeto5 жыл бұрын
Hi Terri! Thank you! I don’t have great news for you. I did have to bleach it, unfortunately. Which is why you can see the brown. I wait a long time in between changing colors because I don’t want to damage it so quickly again. But the color I used is by Pravana, my step-daughter is a cosmetologist and gets it at a salon store. The last time we bleached and dyed it was in April and we did a color melt starting with dark purple (Velvet) shadow roots, going to red (Scarlet), then into orange (Lava). I’ve been using a color depositing shampoo for the last few months. The Pravana is not permanent. But the shampoo I’ve been using is called Watercolors Intense (also from the salon store). It’s what I use to keep the color from completely going. I was using the red, and recently switched to purple. Hope that helps! - Stacy

@@KzooKeto I totally understand that. My hubby is more apt to go for the sweet stuff. He didn't really eat much in the way of veggies until he met me. Now I kind of wish I had of learned to eat more meat.

@@KzooKeto what is low moisture cheese? These look so good 😁 have got to make them
@KzooKeto5 жыл бұрын
Pine apple low moisture is usually what you’ll find shredded at the grocery store. The “blocks” of mozzarella you’ll also fine it looks fancier, won’t work as the moisture will create havoc while cooking.

Can you use Almond flour
@KzooKeto5 жыл бұрын
You can, but you’ll use more of that than the coconut powder. Here’s a link to a site that explains how to substitute because you can’t do a 1:1 ratio, there’s also a decrease to the liquids in a recipe when subbing because the coconut flour sucks up so much moisture. www.dummies.com/food-drink/special-diets/paleo-diet/substituting-coconut-flour-for-almond-flour/

Do you do the eggs by themselves on the Chaffle iron too? I'm too lazy to dirty up a pan. Would that work?
@KzooKeto5 жыл бұрын
They make a nonstick griddle that would work well, it works on the chaffle iron but it will result in a full set yolk, little cheese down first and it will be easier to come off.

Can I eat the organic corn taco shells from traders Joes? I’ve been in keto for 3 months. The corn is organic.
@KzooKeto5 жыл бұрын
Hi Diana, we won’t tell you what you should or shouldn’t eat. What we will say is that weight loss keto is normally under 20 net carbs, organic is good but look at the package details to see what the total carbs - fiber is as that will be your net carbs. If you feel you can eat that and stay under the 20carb limit. Go for it!

Since you've been experimenting.. have you had too many and tried freezing them? Wonder if they could be like a frozen "eggo"?
@KzooKeto5 жыл бұрын
We haven’t actually frozen any yet. But we have put them in the refrigerator for a few days and warmed them back up in a toaster oven several times with delicious results. I can’t imagine it would be any different with them frozen....except maybe some of the ingredients (depending on what you use) may not reheat well.

Every time I make the French toast chaffle I used cold egg or room temperature egg the cream cheese clumps up am I doing something wrong
@KzooKeto5 жыл бұрын
Are you using room temperature cream cheese? That’s really the key, if you have cold cream cheese it will likely clump, you can use the microwave or the double boiler method to “soften” the cream cheese to prevent that, just make sure the cream cheese isn’t too hot when you add the egg. Let me know if that works out for you and thanks for watching! -Stacy

I wonder why nobody uses spreadable cream cheese. It's the same but softer.
@KzooKeto Жыл бұрын
We actually just got some from....I think it was Sam's? We always buy cream cheese in bulk from either Sam's or Costco, and until recently, it's only been the regular blocks. I do like the blocks though because they're marked for each ounce, it makes it a little easier than having to weigh it to make sure you have the correct amount.

Be nice to know total carbs...Im on a strict keto and I don't do this net carb stuff, I count total carbs mostly...only "net" carbs I don't count are erythritol and a few other sugar alcohols but I do count pretty much everything else. However, I suck at calculating macros myself so I tend to stick with recipes that have done it for me. Otherwise, good video, sucks I cant try it without that info! ☹
@KzooKeto4 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for watching! We always recommend calculating the macros for yourself as product nutrition can vary from one brand to another. We use an app called Keto Diet App that helps calculate all that fun stuff and usually allows you to just scan the label of the product. Good luck on your Keto journey!
smokedogsmokey We’ve got some ideas, keep an eye out for a future video!
@jasminelacroix4835 жыл бұрын
what is arifutol? lol not sure how it spells...
@KzooKeto5 жыл бұрын
Erythritol is a sweetener you can use on the Keto diet instead of regular sugar, but it's only 70% as sweet as sugar. We prefer it over other sweeteners because it is natural and not chemically made. We use Lakanto's brand of erythritol because they use monk fruit extract to sweeten it further. It's zero net carbs because it's basically a sugar alcohol and your body doesn't process it. It also doesn't have an impact on your glycemic index, so it's also great for diabetics. We have a link to it in the description (link is for our Amazon Keto must haves) for Amazon, it's the cheapest place we've found it so far.
