L.A. Noire is a dark and violent detective thriller set against the backdrop of Los Angeles in the post-war years of the late 1940's, where you'll take the reins of newly minted detective Cole Phelps as he solves gruesome and mind-bending cases, interrogates suspects, and rises through the ranks of the LAPD.
"The Technology Behind Performance" showcases how L.A. Noire will utilize the brand new MotionScan technology, which provides an unprecedented level of realism, detail, and emotion never seen before in a videogame, bringing characters to life in a totally new way.

They picked a good actor for the lead role. He has a very distinguished face.

Aaron Staton knocked it out of the park with his complex portrayal of a good boy gone bad but still has a strong sense of morality. I like he portrayed Cole differently than the stereotypical Noire protagonist: Cole’s kind of bookish, nerdy, strongly adheres to command and structure, an actual cop and not a private dick. Jack is more the archetypal noire protagonist.

He’s so lucky he got to be a part of a game where the lead character is an exact replica of him 😂

great game, made me cry at the end first and second playthroughs because our character is a flawed and mixed human being, he does horribly deeds but ends up redeemed in the end due to his own guilt and actions.. this is definitely not just a “game” its an experience for future generations

the way the mouths move in time, the way you can see furrowed brows and the movement of the eyebrows.... I have never seen these features in a game before. outstanding.

The idea is not revolutionnary, but the process definately is. Great new technology for the gaming industry. Im looking forward to more games like this one and Heavy Rain in the future.

The only reservation about this game i have comes from the fact the the facial expressions and the actions are done separately; my worry being the idea that the head may not link up properly with the rest of the body.

That technology is the meazing because the face of animation in L.A Noire is realistic to create team Bond and publisher by Rockstar.I hope that other games will be made this wonderful and real technology just like im the movies.

@sgh069 Nonetheless, it's still "Grand Theft Auto 4" while this isn't "Red Dead Revolver 2". The guy said "Red Dead 2". He meant "the sequel to Red Dead Redemption", not "the second game with Red Dead in the title" :P Can't just take it out of context

@JamieHowitt Not all sequels are direct sequels. the guy asked for Red Dead 3, Not Red Dead Redemption 3. just look at the GTA series, non of them are sequels at all... although they often make cool, or funny refferences to previous games. The guys mistake was he didnt say ' The next Red Dead ' .. instead he said ' Red Dead 3 ' :)

everyone stop giving credit to rockstar for making this because they are only the publishers the people who made the game are Team Bondi, and this game would look so much better on a pc than on outdated hardware from 5 years ago. Just sayin.
