I wish there was more platform variety in smash. There's so much potential for stages with no hazards or RNG but interesting platforms, and it's never been realized. All the interesting layouts are on jank stages like grass stadium or Donkey Kong levels, which have other stuff unsuitable for competitive. Ultimate just straight up canonizes the Battlefield layout as *T*H*E* competitive layout for no reason. From mods we've got...frozen Wario Ware? Which is a great stage, but there could be much more.

Some of the adventure mode/event mode stages are simpler and have less crap happening on them, maybe boot up 20XX and review stages that we can't use in vanilla melee that are better than most legal stages?

In FPS games you play each map a maximum of one time. I've always thought it was weird in SSBM that Marth can counterpick FD multiple times until he gets a win on it.

Fod is chill and its sick to have a dynamic tri plat stage, i just wish the platforms didnt have collision when they’re appearing out of the floor cuz that shit fucks me up so often. My favourite part of fod is when you get a knockdown on a low plat and you crouch under their getup attack, its the little things.

I've talked about this before, but FoD platforms water jets should just lower and disappear or start bubbling to come up like 2 seconds before the plats move. That would minimally impact the stage visuals while letting players know with enough time in advance that it's going to go up or down.

Great and fun video Leffen, would you be interested of talking about what you want for the next game? I think it's a good time to start talking about that, considering that there are only two DLC spots left, if we start talking about that now, like people did with rollback netcode, that would create exposure for the ideas from the fanbase get more exposure. I would love to see more game modes like Tag team in the style of Marvel vs capcom or DBFighterz, or the Melee voleyball mod, the soccer, football and capture the flag modes in Brawlhalla, to other ideas done in the stage builder from the fanbase. Or if we are not gonna get traditional break the targets or even more generic break the targets, as well as board the platforms, i think the Target and platform ítems should be added to the stage builder, so people could decide from creating a sort of character specific or character general break the target stage, and the same would be applied for board the platform stages. The series could be much more without that much work from the base game.

I'm all for a little more zoom out on the camera. It's weird that battlefield is SUPER zoomed out and Dreamland/Yoshi are really zoomed in. And the slightly upward placement of pokemon. Thank goodness pokemon is not a changing stage now. That's a good thing. Not a huge fan of the random platoforms on fountain and I have mixed feelings about shyguys. Maybe I'm more for removing them. All for keeping randall. How do you guys feel?
