After Foda (former esports lead) became the new game design lead, the game had massively improved. 2022 was the last year the game was bad and it was REALLY bad at that time. 2023 was a great year and moving forward for the game, I would give it a try this new era for the game.

I got into competitive smash through smash 4 and eventually dropped it for a few years until eventually i came back to learn more traditional fighting games like street fighter 6, tekken, guilty gear, etc. I recently came back to catch up on competitive melee and watched the smash summit 11 grand finals with mango and zain and i was blown away. Immediately i downloaded slippi and started trying to learn the game and play online but i just got tossed around like a ragdoll the entire time. Found this video and im so excited to actually learn how to play melee and hop back on slippi
