Love your sense of humour Ryde - keeps me coming back. Oh and your reviews are also 5-star. Keep up the good work! BTW your video openings are the best on any channel I have seen.

Nothing better than a proper commercial machine at home.😃

I spent $15 on my machine at a thrift, and added about $150 in upgrades and whatnot. I certainly hope the espresso coming from this new LM is a hundred times better than what I’m making

Absolutely Madness...! Dont get me wrong this machine is incredible. Awesome features and technology but for that price and not able to install it yourself I will stay with my San Remo YOU ;) Even looks a little like this machine and offers simular options like pressure profiling.

Well, let me start by saying that I can’t afford it. Even if I could, it’s not my style. I make my espresso using the Cafelat Robot paired with the Niche Zero and love it.

I would be very happy to accept a donation from La Marzocco. Also, if they could pay for the utility bill for the next 5 years.

Im planning to open a small specialty coffee shop. Also planning to buy a high end machine. I think if its a good single group machine is fine in my situation so between these 3 which one is the best. Kvdw spiritello, leva x or strada x

220V with NEMA plugs isn't that difficult to accommodate. I ran a LEVA X1 over the washer/dryer circuit with a splitter. No biggie.
@RydecoffeecoachАй бұрын
oh but are you a sparky or do you just know what you're doing and know that it's fine? I had a 2-group San Marino in my laundry once and they made me run a completely separate circuit just for that and it was only 15amps. But in Australia we have super strict electrical laws.
@marscoin4836Ай бұрын
@ There are splitter boxes designed to only allow one appliance draw power at a time. Originally designed for sharing the washer/dryer circuit with EV charging. Works out in my case since I drink coffee in the morning and do my laundries at night.

Let’s say that you win the coffee bar sweepstakes and can have the ultimate bar added to your home, turnkey. It includes a vacation to Italy, and you return to enjoy your remodel. Money is not a factor. I think the presenter is right. I’m having them design me a full modbar system. The result is small (above the counter) and elegant, with a commercial quality result. By contrast, the new Strada would simply be too big for any normal kitchen, especially if you have cabinets. Even the GS3 has a huge footprint. I’ve got a Mini, and even it is pushing things. A Micra is better for most (though I enjoy having the large steam tank of the Mini for Thanksgiving guests.) A modbar setup would be super classy in a normal, high end home. The Strada X1 would be not classy and would only work well in a very large dedicated space. Now, where can I sign up for this sweepstakes?

I got an ecm synchronika with flow control plumed in with a bwt bestmax pro filter and a 64 mm flat burr grinder. I can do anything i want with this setup, and I've been to some fancy cafes and they cant beat my coffee.

This seems a cynical marketing exercise by LM. There is a rate of diminishing returns. For the home, a Lelit Bianca or similar is more than enough for most people, if you want to flow profile, or a Decent for the real tinkerer. How many coffees do we realistically make each day at home? For me, 4 or so, including a pour over. The pandemic created many home baristas overnight, and the FOMO factor is getting out of control. Be happy with what you have, develop your barista skills, share with friends and family, and enjoy your hobby!

People will buy this because they can afford it and want it. It's like a $500k automatic watch that's actually less accurate than a $30 watch. I'm honestly surprised it's taken so long to make home machines this expensive. Keep in mind, the people that buy this may very well have an HOA that's bigger than all of our expenses combined🙃

they essentially force you to pay for an installation you can do yourself. likely significant heat up time impractical for home use. direct plumb only seen in some other home machines that are way more practical.
@PaoloItaliano-k9v2 ай бұрын
The main problem with Strada X1 is that machine has no built in water tank. It needs external water source connection. That’s why I consider to buy either La Marzocco Leva X1 or new Slayer Single Steam

For me, plumb-in is actually a benefit. No water sitting around in plastic waiting to mold or eventually absorb PFAs.

wait Slayer and KvDW has doing that for years for their single group machine (there's a reason they don't call it home machine) and here I am knowing someone in my circle that have both of them in 1 house (yes a Speedster and a single group Slayer along with dozen of grinders and 2 Porsches) proofing there's a market for the stupidly rich guy
