This was very helpful! Im about to graduate with my BS in bio and have volunteered at an agricultural lab for the past two years. Recently they offered me a lab technician/manager position and your video is giving me an idea of the tasks i might be responsible for. My lab still wants to interview me so i wanted to have an idea of important qualities and skills for this position. I relate to you alot i also have always been interested in healthcare and started school as premed until deciding PA route is better for me. Now im planning to work at the lab while i prepare to apply for PA school. It’s admirable all the experience you have and also having your nursing degree i loved hearing how lab experience can be helpful in healthcare as well! Good luck or your future goals :)

I don't get it, are you still working in the lab? or at the hospital? are going to definitely move to health care? You're great thanks for sharing. You inspire me to pursue my real passions, even though it seems so hard sometimes.

I currently do both. I help the lab out while they find a appropriate replacement for me. I have trained my team to the point where they are able to work together to keep main operations running. I assign ans delegate tasks. The journey wouldn’t be fun if it wasn’t a challenge! Keep with it, and don’t give up, you will get there! All the struggles will be worth it.

I like your videos. I have associate degree in microbiology. Where can I apply for job? Do I need any certificates to work ?
@brontefletcher232 жыл бұрын
Thank you! For an associates degree, you may luck out becoming a lab technician assistant. This can be great as it will get you a great deal of hands on. Or a position as a paid intern. As for certificates, it depends on what type of microbiology you will like to go into. For example, if it was in good safety and quality, a NRCM would benefit. In auditing, a CQA. But watch out because some will require a bachelors or higher level of study before sitting for these exams
