Labocosmetica Idrosave is a new polymer rinseless wash on the market. It is one of the best polymer rinseless washes currently available. Cleans well and slick under the sponge. It does leave protection and it is a good idea to work panel by panel to not let the product dry on the surface.

As I stated in the video I noticed staining on my sponge. Idrosave itself is not staining the sponge. It is the combination of dirt and grime that is being removed from the surface of the vehicle on the lower panels. In order for me to remove that dirt and grime, I had to use an all purpose cleaner to clean the sponge as Idrosave was unable to remove it from the sponge. CarPro Ech2o is another rinseless that does something similar with road grime and I have to use an APC to clean the sponge. Don't let this take away from the fact that Idrosave does clean very well and the polymer protection leaves the surface slick with a nice amped up gloss. Also follow the directions by washing one panel at a time with idrosave. Spotting can result if letting the product dry and it is harder to wipe off as the protection seems to be pretty stout.

Agreed, the best polymer rinseless on the market - the polymer protection is just wild, man. 15 cars in and I'm loving it. I believe when they release their presoak, it will solve the problems of those who love to prespray the whole car. My life lesson was when I used McKee's when it first came out, direct sun prespraying the whole car because ONR v3 made it seem doable without an issue. Waterspots everywhere took all day to get rid of. From that day forward, I just do panel by panel outside and half the car inside. Just mastering the art for your environment. Thanks Eddie. We live and learn. That’s how we evolve in life. Idrosave did exactly what it is supposed to do. Sure the sponge was stained but some APC resolved that. I need a follow up on this stating in a future video to make it more clear. Let’s not take away from the fact that Idrosave is very good. My brother loved the gloss and slickness and in the end that is all that matters.

Mike great review! I agree 100% this is the BEST polymer since Period. Not to pick a fight. Eco wash & DIY are phenomenal products, but they are hybrid ( surfactant & polymer) solutions compared to Irdosave( which I’m sure you know already). I could be wrong. But I believe Idrosave is pure polymer. The slickness comes from the “ backbone” which is silica. As ALWAYS great tutorial! ❤ your channel! You are always 100% honest & imho you are always spot on! I completely blanked when I first used Idrosave because I wasn't used to my rinseless leaving protection behind so I presprayed the entire vehicle while outside before starting my wash. Normally that's no problem with what I normally use, but I learned quickly, luckily I was able to fix my error before it fully set up. I love how well Idrosave does on glass because the protection allows it to flash better I believe. I need to try Idrosave diluted in a spray bottle to see how it does as like a detail spray, I have a feeling it'll do pretty well for touchups and door jambs that way. I'll play around with it more this coming weekend, I am just bummed I can't seem to get the dirt staining out of my Legacy sponge yet. I'll just use my UBS for Idrosave instead. Great video, I've been waiting for more videos to come out with people's experience using the product.

Thanks and thanks for the feedback. It is definitely a panel by panel product just as their directions state. If not then it can lead to issues with spotting. It may be a good idea to follow up with itself as a drying aid especially in direct sun. As far as the sponge some all purpose cleaner cleaned out both of my sponges to remove a majority of the staining.

So I agitated it a few times while it was soaking before I went to sleep, introduced some APC to the mix too, and agitated in the morning. They're still stained, I can't get it off completely haha. But it's an improvement. That's alright, it'll do it's job still even if appearing a bit dirtier. Starting to think Idrosave isn't completely for me, I don't like how I can't completely clean my media, and I don't like the idea of these polymers setting up in my dring towels. I'll use the same drying towel when doing Idrosave and I'll see how it affects its absorbancy over time. I do use Rags to Riches though, and I do let my towels that have been contaminated with ceramic spray soak in a bucket of R2R until time to wash them. So I might be fine. @@epap1375

I've only had limited use with it so far, hoping to play with it more this weekend. Due to the protection in the product, its not something I can see myself using very regularly, at least for now with my own cars. Now that my car is coated and my wife's car will be coated here sometime this spring, I'm in a season of my detailing life where I'm not wanting to use toppers because I like to see how the coating is performing on its own. I'm only going to use the designated topper for the coating, and only if/when required. I've coated quite a few other vehicles, but they were either my old cars that were getting sold, or are owned by someone who is taking them through a car wash and I've not had much chance to check up on them. So far I've used Idrosave side by side with Absolute, just doing a superficial clean of my summer wheels that are still dirty from last year (life has been pretty crazy lately). Cleaning power is equal, both broke down the dirt and brake dust extremely well. Slickness/lubrication is a draw for me at this point, though that may change as I use it more. I'm hard pressed to tell a difference between the two, with maybe just a c-hair more slickness out of Idrosave. If you're a person that is either still using waxes/sealants or who like to put toppers on top of toppers on top of your coating, Idrosave is a great option. Whenever my coatings start to age and I'm needing to help the hydrophobics along, I can definitely see using it more. I'm planning to pick up a test panel (hoping to try to find a black GM hood/trunk that isn't too far gone) so I can play around with some different products. Once I do that I can get a feel for how long the protection from Idrosave might last out in the elements. That said, I'm too much of a rinseless junkie to ever have it be my one and only rinseless product. I'm not going to be using it in a pad washer or for polish/compound wipeoff like I do with DIY or ONR, I'm never going to use it as a clay lube like I do with Absolute, and I'm probably not going to use it on interiors with any regularity. I'm very eager to see what they come out with for the 3pH rinseless wash, and I'll be curious to see if Idrosave is an integral part of that, or if it could be swapped out for any other rinseless. Regarding the staining on your sponge, I think that just comes down to whatever contaminants you're dealing with. My wife's diesel doesn't have a cat or DPF anymore, and even DIY can't get that out of the sponge. If its any kind of soot or ash, its not going to come out of the sponge without using an APC. Side note on my coating testing: DPT Diamond Wheels is doing a good job holding up against ADS Wheel. ADS has a slight edge on self cleaning, but its real close. Diamond Body 36 has been outstanding so far on my car. Granted, we did have an extremely mild winter by MN standards, but I have seen no issues with clogging from road salt or anything else.

I’m on the fence about idrosave and probably won’t buy it again. I had some issues with spotting on area where I oversprayed on the previous panel I already cleaned. Since it was cleaned and dried I didn’t go over it again at the time but noticed when I was done with the car that a bunch of areas with over spray had dried and spotted. It wasn’t the worst thing to get off but just another unnecessary step. I’m so glad I still have a huge stock pile of the greatest rinseless of all time in my opinion - ONR V3. It’s such an easy and forgiving user experience. I’ve been warming up to V5 lately also and like the lubricity so I can use it in certain situations to stretch out my V3 supply even longer.

Late to the table on this product, I bought it just a moment ago because- A, its available here for the last 10 days, B, because I believe it leaves a little bit more protection behind and a glossy finish. I have just bought Hero to to compare it against. What are they like between each other? I'm thinking Hero is very good at cleaning and great for washing the entire car in one hit without any stout residue that's hard to shift once you've checked it one last time after drying. Idrosave seems as good as Hero, Slightly tricky working it one panel at a time, but leaves a better gloss and slickness. Hero for best all-round twice or three times weekly where as Idrosave saved for the special Cars and coffee events and displaying at car shows etc?

The main difference is Idrosave is going to leave that durable protection and it also is a panel by panel rinseless wash. Very slick as it is leaving ceramic protection. Even though it's not a new product, it seems to have lots of features that no one else offers. @MikeGDetailing 4 ай бұрын
Splitting hairs here because I like Ech20. Idrosave will have the more durable protection especially with many text me and also commenting on it causing spotting if not wiped completely. Slickness is on par. I give the edge of cleaning to Idrosave. I like both and will keep both. If I need something with protection then I will reach for Idrosave. If I need just good gloss with no protection then EcH2o would be my choice.

@@MikeGDetailing cleaning power ! making sure i minimize any chance of scratching or marin the paint .. since i only use rinseless due to the fact that im limited to water supply at the moment ( i live at an apartment complex)

@KR8810 I’m going to give the edge to DIY but not by much. Idrosave wins in the lubricity department due to the protection it has in it.

Better cleaning and lubricity. Idrosave will leave protection though.

After seeing yours and eddies reviews of idrosave I will not be buying, expensive compared to some other rinseless washes and the staining is a major downside, they haven’t obviously done enough product testing before release, I will stick to p and s Absolute, great cleaning ability, great glass, and a reasonable price!🇬🇧

Mike G, thanks for your testing of products. Looks like many of this companies products tested are positive? Unless this is a "Game Changer" product, I probably will NOT buy this product because it is NOT made in the USA!

In general most products do work. Companies really can't afford a bad product these days as it will impact their reputation and of course sales.

This stuff doesn't work well for the way I like to use rinseless wash. Any overspray not wiped off before it dries will cause spotting. That's a shame because it would be the perfect rinseless for me if that weren't the case.

Looks good, but alot of people complaining about staining...how does it compare to the drive ceramic or have u not tried it? Also have u tried uber sio2. Looking for a good sio2 rinsless with some protection but can't decide

I have not used either of those ceramic rinseless washes. I believe Eddie (@ec details) used driver ceramic rinseless. Idrosave does clean well and leave some pretty stout protection. But it is a panel by panel rinseless wash and yes it has the potential to leave ceramic spots if let to sit. Staining can occur and Labocosmetica has since updated their site that it can make towels become hydrophobic over time. I also heard from one person that it turned their sponge hydrophobic. I have been using Slick-X by Ripclean more so than Idrosave lately and it does a good job as well without the issues that Idrosave has.

@MikeGDetailing thanks Mike, I just got the Uber si02, havnt tried yet, might give slick x a try also, yea I've watched alot of Eddie's videos, he did really like drive ceramic rw when he reviewed it but it didn't make it in his top 5. I don't think he likes adding protection when rw, but idrosave made it in just because it's so slick and cleans so good he said.
