Thanks for the vids Thor, we were hoping to see you while we were down there last week. We took our houseboat through the cut on July 17th with no issues, but ended up going around on the way back to Wahweap due to a dead ski boat that we were towing. Keep the vids coming.

While this is the first year since 1983 that I will not make it to Powell, since the opening of the cut, it has always been a no wake zone.

That thing still scares the hell out of me. As I have said before all it takes is one inexperienced captain of a houseboat or a big wind and you are so fricked. The muddy water is also a concern because it is like sandpaper on the props and engine internals. But hey, it could be a good way to get rid of the zebra mussles.
