I love my 2016 RSV4 RF absolutely love it. Just a beast and nothing but compliments. I keep my traction control around 2 or 3 and wheelie control usually 1 or 2. I use my RSV4 RF even as a commuter to work 1hr 30 minutes everyday. I can't get enough of riding it.

I’m looking to get a 2018 RSV4 in the next month but am worried how bad servicing prices and intervals will be. Can you shed any light on that aspect of ownership? How reliable has yours been? Love the 2 year warranty at least!
@juanox105 жыл бұрын
MegaTechpc honestly it’s been as reliable as any Japanese bike. Just change your oil every 3k miles and Lube your chain every 500.. do it yourself. Valve adjustment is until 12-15k miles so you’re good on that for a while. I hear it’s like 700 for the dealer to check that.

Like your videos lamb chop, I had one of these out on a demo today Sunday the 21st of July 2019 from wheels in Peterborough. I've got to say, did not like it because of the clonky gearbox, the engine feels very agracultural and feels stressed on the very bottom of the Rev range, the clutch is really annoying as well. The induction roar is awesome though and it has monster power, more than you could ever use on the road. I've got to say, I prefer my R1M. Each to their own lamb chop.any way, keep up the good work.

Will a fuel commander 'limit' the fuel consumption?
@LambChopRides7 жыл бұрын
+Dan 1135 no it just corrects the fueling to give more power and better throttle response. New bikes have to meet emissions laws and to meet those restrictions the manufactures have to map the bikes as best they can but it's not optimal. Power commander corrects that 👍

Lamb Chop Rides love the videos! I've been debating on adding a Supersport to my collect that being 2015 Superduke 1290R and WR250R Supermoto. I too am 6'2 230lbs been debating the RSV4 RR / R1 / 2017 Blade. How does the 2015 up comfort compares to the RSV4? I sat on the rsv4 does feel pretty cramped. Coming from riding a Superduke super comfortable. I'm waiting to see what Yamaha Honda and Aprilia add to there models but I hear the fireblade is pretty comfy vs R1 and rsv4 but the sound of the Rsv4 and the R1 just music to my ears! Looking forward to the 2017 1290R videos! It would make for excellent bike for your height and weight I can do all day rides on my KTM easily!!
@LambChopRides7 жыл бұрын
+TrigunVS the R1 and RSV4 are both the most cramped Imo.. The R1 has a long reach to the bars but they are the two best sounding bikes 😎😎 I'm really loving the superduke comfort it's a great road bike and oh the wheelies!!! 😆😆 RSV4 is the most exciting sportsbike and as you have a comfortable road bike already go for it I say!
@TrigunV4S7 жыл бұрын
Yeah that's kind of how I see it I already got a nice comfy bike for longer trips I think the Rsv4 will give me the same feeling I get when I ride my 1290R the sound of the V Twin I haven't ridden the V4 but from videos I've seen it has a wonderful sound as well! Hopefully the 2018 RSV4 will have even better features if nothing much changes I'll probably try to get a 2017 RSV RF left over model! Next year. Looking forward to see videos on the KTM I hear it's much more refined over the 2014-2016 models I really like the Keyless ignition and instrument cluster the led headlight looks pretty slick as well!

I had a big stupid grin watching this. Not as big as yours but nevertheless... I was a bit confused when you had a bit of a dig at folk buying a 'Blade though. I get the merits of this bike but it's a big slice of cash and not without its drawbacks as you mentioned. Comfort and convenience can be vastly under-rated; and if you can only have one bike... It does look "the nuts" though but.
@LambChopRides7 жыл бұрын

A Super Duke R is in no way, shape, or form comparable to an RSV4. It’s basically a fat and ugly supermoto; of course you can handle wheelies on it, it’s been dumbed down just for that sort of riding. The RSV4 is a 200+ hp racing bike that will chew you up and spit you out if you don’t know what you are doing.

Great vid LCR, I was between the RSV4 (2016 RR) and the ZX10R ABS KRT (2016), after watching all the video's (esp your ZX10R review), and sitting on/playing with both bikes multiple time. I went with the ZX10R and couldn't be happier. To me being a bigger guy (6.0' 245lbs) the ZX10R fits, the suspension is perfect (after adjustment of course) and the power is so smooth and linear down low, then mental explosive up up, I just mesh with it so well. Its like you say, for a track bike the RSV4 is amazing, but sitting up so high, the compactness of the bike, and the heat it makes; not the best on the road.
@LambChopRides7 жыл бұрын
+BigHoss P&R so pleased you found the videos useful, the zx10 is a lovely bike. You should try changing the front sprocket to 1 tooth smaller to help pickup as they do have a very tall first gear. It's a mod I tend to do with all my bikes really brings them alive 👍

At 2:02 , just how can you stand riding on such narrow roads? Of the many moto videos I've seen, UK roads are far too narrow...some don't even fit two cars, & one or both cars wind up going onto a curb or sidewalk...Don't you have any legal minimum road width regulations?...especially with a corresponding maximum speed? These country roads your riding here while are maybe, legally wide enough, ..in the States they would be posted at only about 20-25 MPH.....far too narrow for my taste...but this is what you get when you pave over an Ox-cart trail & call it a road.
@grantfoster88335 жыл бұрын
Some of our roads in the UK are over 1000 years old and traffic was never taken into consideration. The speed limit down these narrow lanes is 60 MPH! Which is fun when there is no room for error..

My thoughts on the rsv4 ,, if you're not an A group rider on the track. And you don't have a good feel for a motorcycle and you're not capable of sliding into a term or actually trail braking hard into a turn this bike is not for you. Go never get the most out of the bike and you won't be able to put yourself to get the most out of the bike you need to build up to this type of machine witch takes years to do. This is why there's something called a honda they're made for street riding they're comfortable to ride and you can push yourself on to this bike way before you could ever get a hold of the Aprilla, The Honda has good characteristics for street riding. The Aprilla is an old MOTO GP bike. Motogp bikes are hard to ride. Most people would be better off going with a honda that setup for riding on the street.

Well said.I was riding the aprilia Mille and RSV R in the early 2000s when most people i knew had not even heard of them as a manufacturer.Yes they were v twins with huge torque but the characteristics after riding Japanese 1000s like the R1 was like night and day.Very tall and narrow feeling too.Tempted by the RSV 4 but my Blade is just so nice even though its 9 years old now.The RSV 4 as you say is most certainly for riders with a good few years experience behind them especially on the roads of Britain.The BMW 1000rr is more agreeable but lacks that Italian x factor,but lets be honest most of us on this site ride bikes that can lose you your license in the blink of an eye no matter what make or model.

In the end........ too much money for repairs, parts are hard to come by and expensive. Stick with Japanese manufacturer. The end.

I own a 2016 ZX10R, the gearing isn't tall, the bike was designed with 215hp in mind, and then Euro 4 and DOT regulations made them limit it to around 180 (170rwhp) with the throttle blades only reaching 40-60% opening below 7000rpm. I've ridden a Don Guhl Flashed 2016 ZX10R, and its an absolute animal! the power comes on hard at 5500rpm, and just screams to 14 500! The gearing is PERFECT at this power level, and once you ride it with this type of tuning, the entire bike makes sense. Its a shame all the reviewers and magazines couldn't see why the Kawasaki was underperforming with Euro 4, saying it was "tall gearing" as an issue. Kawasaki left the gearing, so when you flash the bike to its intended power levels, it wouldn't just loop itself at 250km/hr + lol. Anyway, just wanted to throw that in there. My brother races Aprilia's, and the parts are cheap and easy to find. They are also super reliable bikes, 2012 onward.

BigHoss P&R can't wait to get my zx10r. I'll be sure to remove the restriction as well

+BigHoss P&R yes but the gearing was wrong for the factory bike. I think the zx10r is almost a race kit bike ready to be modded but just off from the show room. Shame mine got destroyed before I got todo anything

Sorry that people would ever want to use it as a track bike or even just take it to the track. You know or just set it up for a more comfortable ride for them. He failed to mention you can also adjust the swing arm pivot point. That's.. that's.. that's.. amazing to have options.
