we get our sawdust from Bennets sawmill it's free, do get bits of large bark in it though but can't complain

I wonder at the price of that sawdust. I buy untreated compressed wool bales of wood shaving (looks the same) locally in Selwyn at Waterholes Road. Was about $60 - $65 with your own sack. They are already made up you just swap. So compressed, you get masses of the stuff.

It seems like it at the time, but as a percentage it's not. Especially as our earlies are our old girls, and when you go around them each day you feel it a lot.

How many lambs do you generally lose in a season, seems to be quite a few so far?

Every lamb death sucks but it is in the normal range at the moment.
