Imagine, men under this flag took on the British army in 1899, and for more than 2 1/2 years, gave the British a war the world remembers to this day. Wonderful history. The vierkleur also represents freedom and was seen as such. Free is the last thing the SA government wants the Boers to be and the vierkleur is the last symbol representing Boer identity so I think there will be a big push one day to ban it completely, to end the last of the Boer identity by the "spear of the nation" Zuma created the MK party on the day of the vow to continue where Dingaan failed so expect things to get rough.

@@any0n378 Africans have always been inclusive. We had no reason to embrace land thieves though, but we still did. You were occupiers, and never had any intentions to be integrated. When that intention was made clear, we had to fight. Our history does not begin or end with Lifaqane. There was free movement of people and goods between the tribes across Africa.
