In my opinion this album tells the story of a young girl living on a trailer park trying hard to put her things in order and get a better life, and she is so desperate and alone that she search in all the wrong places, its a dark, creepy and emotional album, but I love it so much

And put me in a movie is her explaining the way it feels to try so hard to get what she wants, but at the cost of being something for someone else. She puts all of this trust into the men around her only for them to use her. If any of her songs pull heart strings, Put me in a movie is the main one.

Put me in a movie reflects upon the dirty Hollywood industry; the older, powerful male producers taking advantage of young girls who would do anything to get that big break. “He didn’t know he’d have this much fun..” “Cmon you know you like little girls...” “you can be my daddy...” “lights camera accion” “you know I can’t make it on my own..” so sad. So dark. So heavy. Lana is just amazing.

After this album was pulled from iTunes she wanted to re release the whole thing after “Born to Die” but only Yayo was retouched (they got rid of the strings ugh) and tbh, seeing as she’s a perfectionist, these songs, minus Kill Kill and Yayo, don’t really work well elsewhere. This is her only other official album, her “Die For Me” album was fan made (seeing some ask for it). And finally, “Serial Killer” is pretty good. She sang it at concerts around 2015 making people think it was going to be in “Honeymoon” but nahhh. Sorry we bullied you to react to this lmao 😂

Cool review! Its awsome to see references to Lana Del Reys old music... one note - as a guy who enjoys rock music, and appreciate lana del rey - I'd consider this album soft rock, nothing really heavy about it. Some songs here have some rock elements which is cool, or stracture that can work really well for rock music ("raise me up" is a good expmple for both of these things) - But not a lot of guitars, and a bit watered down as a rock song. I think that this is a nice way to learn about lanas tastes. She apperes to like pop, soft rock, being experimental and adapting different ganers (like hip hop) into what is eventually really nice mature pop music. I think Lana is way better today with combining rock elements into her art - Would admit, I'd really like to hear a full blown energetic rock album. Where she really pushes her energy and voice, i feel like it's a hidden vibe rooted inside her, which she only show small parts of. But maybe i'm wrong :)

It is one of my favorite songs from her and it's really sad that the first impression of the song is always with the high pitched version which sounds terrible :( Oh, and the For K (Part 2) version is also different from the album version.
