I just feel bad for anyone's scalp who does.. must be super dry. like my max would be 2-3 days but that's because it gets greasy super easy, everyone is different and we should all learn what is good for our own hair and stop judging people because of their routines thinking it's "gross" and "not hygienic" because it's total bull

A few yeara ago my hair got really greasy after 2 days but then I colored my hair and I didn't want the color to fade so fast so I started washing my hair once a week So now my hair needs 4 days to get greasy and the last 3 days I keep my hair in buns or ponytails

If you had just explained why you can't necessarily wash certain hair types everyday, Onion boy would have tried to twist and turn everything to further his bs narrative. I'm going out on a limb and guess that if someone easily has smell issues with their hair, then maybe they're more susceptible to dandruff. Specifically the kind caused by a fungus. Fungi often do cause a smell after all. LAWL. I can confirm as a fact that it takes a ridiculously long time for me to develop dandruff. My hair smells of coconut/shea/peppermint for the 1-2 weeks in between my washes. u3u

Well, y’all kinda do stink if ya don’t wash, but it seems like each ethnicity’s BO smells slightly different. Those of african descent often seem within the realms of warm/salty (sour ONLY after a week and a half of no body washing). Mine is sour under the pits but normally like clay/rain. I think that’s the Irish in me. Latinx seem to be more coconut and farm smells in general. I know what farms smell like because I’ve lived around them. I don’t mean chicken smell or animal feces before someone gets mad. I mean, have you ever hugged a cow and smelled their sweet little necks? That kind of smell. Asians seem to almost lack BO or just generally smell like sweat, from my observations. American caucasian people in general vary a LOT in BO. Depends on what mix they are. I use my nose for a ton of stuff so that’s why I pay attention to people’s smells. Sorry if that’s weird

He targets young teenage girls, despite what he claims his demographics are, by preying on their insecurities ("you don't look fat if you look like this!/girls mature faster than boys!/women are so smart!") and repeating the mantra of being "the most honest youtuber!" to brainwash them into believing his logic. His fanbase is primarily young girls with an attraction to/lack of older men in their lives. That's why he got in trouble on his forum site - most of the people who registered and submitted photos for his rating videos were young teenagers. In fact, they often attacked older fans by calling them "grandma" if they were over 17. He also finds partners through his fanbase too, which is how he found Lainey, who was 17 when they met and he crossed state line to have sex with her (which is illegal - he also did the same thing with Shiloh, same age except he didn't marry her), and Lainey found Billie (also 17). Plus, his content has not changed, and as you get older your tastes change. The content he makes is still edgy, in-poor taste comedy videos, opinion videos, and making fun of Google searches. Ame -me no problem. So I started off by switching to silicone/sulfate free everything. I don’t heat style my hair anymore either. Deep condition once a week. I switch between a protein heavy mask and a moisturizing mask every week and only do it on my wash days. Before I wash I do hot oil treatments on my scalp too, with JBCO or red pimento oil. Taking vitamins help too, I’ve been taking biotin for a year now. I even went ahead and bought the exact same tangle teezer Lana uses, it works great for my knots. I know this is working well for me because I cut off so many inches the last 3 months and my hair has already grown out again. Sorry if I’m all over the place . Also depends on the settings of your house's hot water tank--my water gets so hot that I have actually burned my hand before by touching a metal dish that was soaking. I would scald all the skin off my body if I tried to shower in that. On the other hand, the place I lived in before this one, the hottest setting was pretty comfortable to shower in on cold winter days.

I really appreciated this! ^.^ I grew up the daughter of a person with straight hair in a family of majority straight hair so I've always struggled with trying to properly do my hair and keep it from going awfully. I didn't know for a long time I shouldn't wash my hair every day or that I should use conditioner often, hell some of my family can only use conditioner once or twice a month because of how overly straight their hair is. I appreciate being able to find youtubers like you with similar hair types that can give tips and advice that I can use to help keep my hair healthier. I wash my hair quite often in comparison to other people. The more often I sweat or leave the house, the more I wash. I have 4a/4b hair and my scalp itches so easily. I don't cowash because my hair always feels dirty afterwards, so I use less harsh shampoos. My hair is doing better than it ever has. But I might still cut it off to start over

I have wavy hair that I wash once a week. I use either the Shea Moisture coconut & hibiscus curl & shine shampoo and conditioner or the Shea Moisture coconut oil hydration shampoo and conditioner. After I get out the shower I use the Shea Moisture curl enhancing smoothie to style my hair. I've been using these products for around 4 months and I think the results are great. Because my hair is wavy, it was hard for me to find products that would compliment my hair. I still struggle with it from time to time but I hope this is helpful to any other wavy haired people who are stuggling too. ❤️❤️

And that video genuinely was a pick me up, I’m sorry your hair suffered, but I got such a laugh out of it. And you have fairly loose curls. Yet he'd expect black people with even kinkier hair to wash it every single day just because it works fine for most straight-haired people. I really wish he would stay out of things that he can't relate to and stop trying to use the insignificant anecdotes from the _very_ few that say it works just fine for them as his "proof". It's like -- you have 9 people telling you that frequent washing would damage their hair but because ONE person says otherwise for themselves, he's all like, "SEE! Onision is just a huge asshole and using his platform as an excuse to disguise that with poor advice. He thinks that whatever he believes is what everyone should believe. Truly an awful guy.

Honestly love this. i have wavy hair(not curly) and i can go like 4 days no wash without my hair getting greasy so i wash my hair every 3 to 4 days(depends how much I’ve touched my hair in that week) so i think having extremely curly hair like yours and washing your hair weekly seems like the perfect time gap and is healthy and also hygienic so this is a spot on tutorial xx

Our hair is very similar, and I haven't had it long since I had it permed. I've been trying so hard to stay natural with it and let it grow out, but it's getting harder and harder to find the time to take care of it properly. This is a great routine to follow and I'll just have to find the time to take care of it and let it grow out. Really do love your hair. I'm psyched to see how mine will do.

Giirrrlll let me just say, that comb trick saved my curls lol. I was so discouraged because my hair used to be so gorgeous and curly when I was younger (I didn't even take care of them correctly) and now my hair would even curl right, but I guess they just needed a bit or help and it is looking much better! I felt so bad for you watching you detangle your hair😔 i remember this summer when i neglected my hair for two weeks, it was hell detangling! I usually wash and detangle twice a week😊 i tried to only do it once a week, but my scalp got so ichy and i had really bad dandruff😶

Man, I wish I had found your videos a few months ago before I cut off my long, thick hair. It would curl after I washed it and as it dried, but fully dry it just frizzed and tangled into a giant mess. I spent loads of time every night (or at the very least, everytime I showered) brushing my hair until it was tangle free. I always thought my hair was wavy, but I'm pretty sure it's curly and I just had no idea how to care for it because I kept overwashing my hair, using harsh hair care products, and no styling products. I'm going to start incorporating some of your ideas into my routine and see if my new hair is healthy and bouncy, not dry and brittle. Punished hair is not happy hair.
