@@jasonbarnes3188 I think that it will depend on the chemical composition of the rubber. I have had some "Navcom" (Limbsaver) products go bad after a couple of seasons just sitting in my basement. Great review!! I have a Matthews V3 31. I love the bow. Have a few questions. 8 limbs, can anything get out of tune over time? Life limits on the center rubber? String is replaced at 1000 shots, so the rubber may have replacement life. I like all the internal mounting features. I work on aircraft and have seen open inserts corrode over time. Does Matthews have an insert plug to plug the open holes so they stay in better condition. And the last question is does the rubber and internal mounts also reduce the bow weight than the V3X 33 and 29? Didn't the V3X have a speed rating of 342 FPS and now 336FPS. Why the difference is it is the same bow.

Agreed - At this stage the improvements to the Mathews bows are so minor that they'll hardly register in the real world. Personally, I would love an excuse to purchase a Mathews, specifically because of the engage limb system. But when all is said and done, I don't particularly like the draw cycle, back wall or speed coming from this cam system. In this way, they are beat by both Hoyt and PSE. Mathews is like a car with fantastic features and bodywork, but a middle-of-the-road engine. The frills are terrific but not at the expense of the things that matter (draw, hold, speed, tunability).

The obsession with VIBRATION is just silly. So what if there is a little vibration when you fire. It's so small in these modern bows already, and again, the arrow is looonnnggg gone before your brain even knows you fired. I love my v3x, but tuning it myself has been a pain in the ass. The top hat system is outdated, especially when bowtexh and others have way better cam tuning options. My local "pro" shops "tuning" is a joke, I have to do it myself, which is fine, but I would have loved to see a replacement for cam tuning like several other manufacturers. Case in point my top Cam is leaning after replacing my strings. My local pro shop said this wasn't a problem and ushered me out the door. I have a wicked left tear, which wasn't discovered by their paper tuning since they only paper tune with 2 or 3 arrows at 2' to 3' and call it good. Instead of being able to pull out an Allen wrench and adjust the Cam myself, I have not shot the bow for over a week while I try to find time to drive to the only Matthews pro shop around, argue with them about the necessity to change the top Cam hat, and deal with the attitude of you don't know what you're talking about but we'll do it anyway oh and that was a $100.

Don't get the stupid expensive proprietary sight and stabilizer mounts. It's like they know that Mathews sheep will buy it anyway because "new". Other than that it's the same bow from 3 years ago.

Hey also, there's double the amount of limbs to fail. Bonus.

To me too many outdated features. Ind mods for dl and let off and top hat spacers for tuning.

No more angled quick disconnect. Anyone who buys that stabilizer is either a staff shooter or special kind of sucker

@@aaronihle7344 I think so, podium archery has a video on some of the accessories for it and he mentioned some of the prices, from what I can understand if you want all the cool Mathews stuff on your Mathews bow your really going to be breaking the bank this year lol

Same cams, riser, and speed. I don’t see why anyone would buy this. A dud in my opinion.

It’s so quiet that it tells you to shut up when you release. Your breathing is actually louder. So dead in the hand that you begin to loose feeling in your arm. A full 11% more quiet and dead than last year. Unfortunately, still a rectangle.
