@@timbutton4990 Your not wrong, a finish of this quality, especially given the start point, will come at a price. Having said that, this car is special to its owner, the cost might not make sense but the value most certainly must. Harry’s garage projects of this type should not just be measured in monetary terms, if he can afford the best then why not? The investment in associated supply chain skills will benefit many not just Harry. All of those who follow this channel are making there contribution, if I were to thank Harry for anything it would be for investing and creating a vehicle for us to do this, I suspect this is not the first time either, Evo for example. The world needs entrepreneurs!

This and the Jag restoration have by far been my favorite of all of your vids. The craftsmanship that has gone into this restoration is something else, was blown away by all the panel work Adrian did in earlier videos and have never seen someone take quite such care with prep for a respray as Sam, clearly a brilliant firm to restore the Zagato!

@ianworley8169
@ianworley8169 2 жыл бұрын
To be fair, it was probably many oafs responsible for the state of the Zagato. It's decline was probably started before it even left Lancia. As a previous owner of a Lancia Beta Coupe, they were beautiful to look at and drive, but rotted out in a few years.
@johnsmith1474
@johnsmith1474 2 жыл бұрын
The "oafs" that owned this no doubt drove it with enthusiasm and loved it with pride and nostalgia, and did restoration appropriate to the value of the car at the time, which was far less than today. Today the capitalism of world empire has pushed so much economic gain to the few that the price of every decent old thing has shot through the roof and this sort of expenditure can be accommodated. As an Italian you should have at least some appreciation of economic injustice.

The car is looking fabulous with the first coat of the Lancia Rosso Rally Red paint that it originally had from new. The quality of the finish is testimony to all the skill & hard work that Ade & Sam have put in to what was a badly corroded bodyshell. The before & after shots you added to the video are amazing & show just how far this restoration has come. What a beautiful finish. The way the light plays over those subtle curves and creases is wonderful. With a shine like that out of the gun surely all that's required is a gentle buff and polish.
