That is by far the best Zagato Fulvia I saw to date including the new ones that were bought and used in my family when I was a tech-nerdy 12 year old. It might be a good part better than Zagato's products coming from the fabbrica (which actually was more of a "manufattura" anyway). Those technical "introductions" and the sorted wiring will make her an enjoyable, reliable car for every day without the usual Diva-drama Italian cars (and motorbikes, for that matter) of that era usually bring with them. Fantastic restoration and even better because done with love and not the economic rationality which usually rules the Fulvia out of such class of rebuild because You'll never "get it back" when offering a car like that to today's market. It ain't for getting it back though, it's for havin' it. Absolutely marvelous. Thanks for sharing.

I'm so glad you've done this Harry. The focus on the Ferrari's, Lambo's and Maseratis, the "hero" Italians, overshadows the smaller cars. The "super car" V12 thing is awesome and if I can ever afford an Espada I will get one but the Alfetta's, Guilia 105's, Fulvia's, 124 fiats and so one are a different thing. They got USED! To me the ordinary Italian cars have their own attraction and while the Zagato is special it has all the joys of these little, buzzy, nimble cars. It is, and probably was, rare to see someone really driving the hero Italians. They have low mileage because they are 'special occasion' cars. On the other hand the 4 cylinder cars were driven until they broke in half or rusted beyond economic repair. On another note, it is lovely to meet the guys in the industrial estates who take pride in their work. There's honour in mastering your trade. More of this please. I'd really like you to revisit the 116 Alfa GTV and GTV6 (my passion). Done right these are beautiful, fast, nimble and affordable cars. The UK has guys who put together top notch cars. Ask to review a car they are proud of. JC's car is typical of those cars that have never really been sorted. Thanks again. This is quite inspirational. Dm.

Thanks for posting this Lancia Zagato update Harry. This is one of my favourite rebuilds from your channel & the quality of the finished red/orange paintwork is a real credit to all the skill, hard work & craftsmanship that Ade & Sam put into restoring what was a badly corroded bodyshell, with 'tons' of filler. With the engine, gearbox & subframe having been installed, the car is coming along nicely. Whilst I can appreciate there's still a lot more to do, I hope you can begin to see some light at the end of the tunnel . Keep up the great work & please don't keep us waiting too long for the next episode!

Is it sacrilegious to admit that I'm even more excited by this Lancia Fulvia 1600 Zagato than I am by your Lamborghini Countach? Of course I love the thought of both these cars being brought back to proper health in all of their glory, each one by very competent craftsmen. However, knowing of your personal connection with this model and all of the amazing work that has gone into this car really makes it something extra special in my mind. Following along with this series has certainly been one of my favorite KZbin experiences over the years. Just as with your visits to Tyrrell's Classic Workshop, I've really enjoyed you highlighting all of the work that has been carried out by the folks at Prestige Refinishing and Day & White's Automotive. The knowledge and skill set on display at such businesses is all too rare in this day and age and the respect I have for them is beyond measure. I'm very much looking forward to a driving video featuring this gorgeous little Lancia!

Thanks for this Harry. My most eagerly awaited video on KZbin. I had a standard Fulvia back in the 80s and always sorry I sold it. I was appreciative of the great design and engineering then, and it's great to see the skills of the original designers being appreciated, and it's great to see the skills of the guys doing the restoration. And it looks superb!! The exhaust looks fab. There's one (standard 1300) running around near me, but the owner has replaced that glorious engine with and electric motor. WHY? The point of any Fulvia (standard or Zigato) is its style and its engine. Electric cars may be more practical today, but I really hope we do not lose the engineering skills that it took to make and restore your Fulvia. Thanks again and looking forward to the next installment.

I have to say Harry, when you have a job done - you have it done properly. This (and the Jag) have been restored beautifully. I have been eager to see the Fulvia 'in paint', and what a job they have done. Its so good now that the under bonnet view is spoiled by a slightly crusty fan shroud on the bulkhead ! Picky, I know, but really shows up with everything looking so crisp. Well done Harry.

Dry summer use only Harry. Damp and salt would soon ruin it. It should be a genuinely quick car now with no filler in the body weighing it down. It's far better than the day it rolled off Lancia's production line. Presteige certainly live up to their name. A fantastic finish on the body. I know you have paid for their services but make sure you thank them so very much as what they have done to renovate and paint your Fulvia's previously decrepit body is nothing short of fabulous. True craftsmen.

Once again, I can’t help for being in awe for the time and most certainly money you invest in bringing the specs of your classic’s up to pristine conditions. Whatever you'll be paying, Harry, she's going to be worth it. Who else will have a virtually brand new 50-year-old rare Italian sports car? I could say you could eat off any part of that beast now, but then I think I'd yell at anyone who tried! The body and finish is so smooth, so perfect in its revelation of the little car's lines that its a work of art, but so is that engine and drivetrain - especially those headers / extractors and the big side draughts that somehow manage to convey the image of so much power, yet they've not yet been used together. Everything looks so good and everything looks so RIGHT. She's come such a long way and the weight difference and body strength will make her handle so much different than before (and she was impressive then) - not to mention the extra punch from that V4. Actually, the amount of weight she's lost with the removal of all the bog, you COULD say she's now a Lancia Fulvia Zagato Superleggera! I have enjoyed seeing this project moving along and have been so impressed with the level of perfectionism shown by everyone who has worked on it - every little detail in it's place and so much attention paid to getting it spot on that I would not be surprised to see the factory stickers when she rolls out the door for the final time! All the best
