Sad fact: The girl who played Ducky (Judith Barsi) in the first Land Before Time film was murdered by her father when she was 10 years old. After Land Before Time, she voiced Anne-Marie in All Dogs Go to Heaven. Her parents were going through a divorce and the father snapped. He went downstairs to Judith's room and shot her in the had while she was sleeping. When Judith's mother went down the stairs to find out what the noise was, he guned her down on the stairs. When the director and their team didn't hear from Judith or her mother, they called their house to see if they were okay. The father gave an excuse why she wasn't there, an illness I think. In reality, he had already taken their bodies and burned them in the back yard. When the truth finally came to light, everyone working on All Dogs Go to Heaven were devastated as they all loved Judith. The song "Love Survives" in the credits was dedicated to Judith. Judith's last recorded line: "Goodbye Charlie, I love you."

The narrator is the same voice of Cera's Father, John Ingle. Littlefoot' Grandfather is voiced by Kenneth Mars (the voice of King Triton from The Little Mirmaid). Nevertheless, 16:44 I felt the same way about that egg scene as a child, mainly because I kept missing the scene where the egg goes back into place. 33:10 as a kid I almost thought that was Grandpa Longneck because I would always notice that they would sometimes get the colors on Littlefoot's Grandparents wrong in these sequels lol. The narrator is also Topsy's voice actor. The momma protecting the eggs is as typical is a maiasaura. And honestly loved your review you should do all of them in sequence would be easy fun content. Also the added joke clips always get me. As a final note, as a longtime fan the rest of the LBT fandom have pointed out the inconsistent weird lack of Ducky's dad. He's in the first film same with Cera's mother (thou she gets an adoptive mother in Tria).

Fun fact about the struthiomimus it has a mixed diet and plants, seeds, eggs, bugs and shrimp so they are omnivores so Ozzie can't control his brother forever it is up to Strut if he wants to eat plants. Strut loves to eat plants so why not leave Ozzie to live in the valley and he could have all the food he can eat and get all the nutrients he so desperately needs to be more healthy looking

I remember this movie when I was a kid and man it has not aged well at all! The songs are actually super badly written to the point where it was super cringeworthy. I do agree with you that Strut got the rough end of it. I feel like he should've switched sides at the end and stayed in the valley. Sure, he was a villain but if Pterno can switch sides later in #7, then surely Strut can too!

*Alteori:* 22:45 *Chris:* Actually that's NOT true. Sauropods are much bigger stronger and heavier than Ceratopids. So it would MORE likely be the other way around and the Triceratops would end up getting kicked and crushed by the Sauropod's massive weight. Like pinning a rhino against an elephant, a cat against a horse, or even a pitbull against an actual bull.

The fact alone that you managed to scrape a decent life lesson from this malarkey is but one of the many reasons you're one of the best foxes on KZbin, along with A Fox in Space (an awesome Star Fox series in the works). It just steamed my beans as a little kid to see the animation taking a major downgrade so they could crap these things out fast; at least Fievel Goes West had a great look to it.. Bluth deserves better.

Honestly not sure if its milking the franchise (for the first few movies at least) or society changing. Wasn't till later movies seemed very intent on child appropriateness theirs a major difference between older g movies and ones made now. Seems like a pattern oh no can't have anything traumatizing to the kids, to eh they can handle it. Seriously shows are getting a lot darker in tone then the past. Can be a good thing just seems like shows keep going to the extremes. I mean we joke about how those movies scarred us for life but its also the ones with more meaningful characters and lessons.

Hello Alteori. Episode 2 of Land Before Time review. This one is my favorite and Episode 5 cause they have Chomper. Later in the other episodes they have him. He is my favorite characters in the series. Favorite moments are when Littlefoot interact with him when he hatched and reunite with his parents, Papa and Mama Sharptooth. The Dark green one is his dad and the yellow one is his mom. Episode 5 is when he's a bit older and can talk. As always, Alteori, love your artwork, wonderful. Anyway, another great video, Alteori, I like it, see you in the next one.

Don't underestimate the power of having a child. My daughter, who I referred to as demon child for many years (well deserved name btw), got pregnant around 30yo, and now she's like super mom. She didn't want a kid before this, so I was kind of shocked with how much she changed afterwards. You're young right now, I'm guessing early 20's, give it a few more years and it won't look so scary anymore. Besides, according to a number of women I know, hospitals have some great drugs these days.
@Alteori2 жыл бұрын
I know and hats off to all those women who are mothers 😃 But for me it's more than just the pain. Maybe some of it is because my childhood was awful and strained because of my mother but I'm too much of an introvert and I just would feel too stressed and anxious having to get up in the middle of the night and be totally responsible for another human being that's going to be with me for 18 years and talk a whole bunch. 🤣 Then sex falls off when kids come along and marriage is strained and my partner and I are SO happy and at total peace right now. My partner, he's more open to it, and if he pushes, maybe, but we both agreed that we can do without having them and contribute to society in other ways. 😃 I know my mom and dad feel differently because they want grandchildren but I also think it's important that people who don't think that they should be parents should not be parents. My mother is one of those people who should never have been a mother. She was VERY abused by her mom and she abused me in many ways because of her psychological, emotional, and mental issues. Not every person is meant to be a parent. The sad part is most don't recognize it and end up breaking their children.
@boxingelfis14992 жыл бұрын
@@Alteori I hope I am not disregarding yours and your mom's experiences and I honestly sympathise with them as my mom also went through similar troubles; but I find that I disagree with the notion that one can be meant to have kids while another can not. Because it seems to me that being a good or at least a competent parent is defined by one having the capability of putting personal concerns aside and raising their children as best as they can, by choosing to focus on what's best for their kids. Anyone can learn how to do this so long as they are willing to take up the responsibility of doing so, meaning that even if one has made some pretty crappy choices or is not in a good place mentally or financially, they are still able to decide that; for their kids (whether they have them or not yet), they will consistently do their best to make the right decisions so that their children won't have to suffer or so that the suffering will be significantly lessened. These decisions can be; going to therapy or rehab and earnestly working on overcoming whatever ails them, staying at a job they don't like if it pays enough for them to feed, clothe and entertain their kids, letting their kids have a relationship with their nieces and nephews even though they're on bad terms with their family, so on and so forth... The problem in my opinion, is that many parents, or people wanting to be parents, don't actually want the duty of being a parent. It's not that they are not meant to be parents but that they simply don't want to be and decide not to; and yes, many do decide this late which causes a lot of damage to their kids. So in my perspective; if you think you don't want to be a parent or that you shouldn't be a parent, it does not mean you will fail at parenthood if you happen to become one. If you are willing to do your duty as one; then I think you will do fine. PS: I apologise for the length of this comment, I hope it won't be too much of a hindrance or too much of a drag.
@Alteori2 жыл бұрын
@@boxingelfis1499 No it's totally fine. I see where you are coming from but there are people who want kids and they don't know they need help or choose not to get help and then hurt their children. My mom and me went through that horrible cycle of abuse. Even if people told my grandma or mom to get help, they were prideful and either were not honest or straight up didn't So many kids have been abused and hurt by their moms or dads and honestly, if they don't have their life together, they should not have kids. The other thing is when these kids are neglected, abandoned, or abused, they grow up and continue the cycle most times.
@boxingelfis14992 жыл бұрын
@@Alteori You're right. I've seen the damage abuse such as neglect and lack of support can cause, through watching my mom interact with people. While she is the best mother a child could have (in my perspective of course), she doesn't seem able to form meaningful friendships with people and because she has a very difficult time letting people in aside from us, stress gets to her quite easily and sometimes it causes her emotions to flare up. In spite of this however, she chose to provide the best childhood she could for us, to the point that growing up; we never noticed that her and my dad weren't on good terms, we never felt as if we had less than other children, we didn't know that she really struggled to put us in the great schools she did, and we never knew how alone and depressed she would truly get once we weren't with her. We only found out these things when we were much older and we did so gradually because she held out as long as she could. She made certain that we would not grow up the way she did. I say all of this to mean that even though one may not exactly have their life together, what matters is if they are able to decide to be better for their children. And everyone is capable of doing that if only they are willing to do what's required of them as parents, even if that means accepting to get help. I know this doesn't mean anything but it saddens me that your mom didn't decide to put you first, above the issues she had and that her mother didn't decide to put her first too. Such things do create a terrible cycle but as I have come to believe; only because we don't decide not to continue it. I apologise for the late reply, I am plagued by uncertainty when it comes to posting such comments. Nonetheless, thank you for giving me your time and I hope you and your mom managed to find some peace regarding what you both went through.

@@Alteori Honestly my dude, I think it sounds like you're selling yourself short. You do you and all, that's important. BUT, I think what a lot of people miss is to be a good, honest parent, one needs to learn from others' mistakes and their own, recognize their own faults, and be capable of a certain level of self-introspection. You don't have to be your mother or grandmother, you've learned better. Potentially, and theoretically, you could then pass that kind of knowledge and wisdom onto offspring, who will in turn emulate that. You not only break the cycle of abuse, you can go on to foster a new, much more healthy cycle. Of course though, that is entirely your decision. I'm just offering a different perspective.
