I just bought a 2008 LR3 to replace my 99 P38. Building a storage box for the back l have discovered a couple of things. The width between the wheel wells is only 45 inches. To make this even less Land Rover had to put stylish fat corners at each bottom corner. This reduces the entry width to 39 inches at the bottom. My storage box is going to be 6 inches narrower than in my P38. Still big enough but with a little more thought LR could of had an unobstructed 48 inches. Clever the way the seats work for sure.

Hi there, thanks for another interesting video. How are you finding overall reliability of your Rover? I've been driving landcruisers for 12 years until 18months ago when I bought my Discovery 4. It's the 3.0 TDV6. It's used to tow our large twin axle caravan which it does with ease. In 12 years of landcruisers I had 3 major breakdowns only. I'm hoping the Disco will not break the bank. In 18 months no issues except usual lower control arm bushes. I'm trying to figure out if all the bad press is from non Landrover owners just fanning the flames or are Disco's really that bad? Having owned both now I can confirm that Landcruisers are good and generally reliable but Discoveries are better to drive, more comfortable with more refinement and better performance. Currently I like both Toyota and Landrover equally for different reasons. The Disco 4 is an amazing tow car. Time will tell if the love affair continues. Keep up the good work. I've just subscribed to your channel. Cheers Mark

I appreciate the support and thanks for your comment. Like you I owned another car before the Land Rover, I own the Cadillac Escalade and I think the Land Rover is a better vehicle smoother and more comfortable and more versatile. I haven't had any problems besides the normal things that go wrong with any car. If your air suspension is working fine then you shouldn't have any issue with your Land. Again, thanks for the support. You have a nice day

I have owned the Range Rover Sport 2012 which is based on the LR4/LR3 for 5 years now and no issues, other than the normal things that need to be replaced on any other car, the people who keep knocking land rovers either believe bad fairy tales or didn't properly service and look after their own LR. I have owned land Rovers for 12 years myself, Freelander1 with the BMW engine 2004, I serviced it every couple of months myself and made sure all components were properly oiled and the car was great! Then sold it for the Freelander2 and that was back in 2011, still it and it has given us so much joy! As well as the Sport, no issues.

Hello! Can you have 2 carseat in the middle row, one on each outter side, and then access the third row by lowering the second row center seat?! Maybe not very confortable, but on occasional situations, is it possible?! I'm looking to buy one of this 2008 for me, my wife and 2 (3yr/1yr) babies that would go on the outter 2nd row seats on a toddler car seat. Great video, thank you!
@oxmanagain2 жыл бұрын
Hello and yes you could have two baby seats on either rear seat. The problem is how would you get in front of the seats to even get to that middle seat. The middle seat lays flat so in theory yes I don't see how an adult could maybe a little kid but not an adult. I hope that helps.

The distance 77in from the front seats to the hatch - is it with the front seats in their driving position? What's the distance if both front seats are moved ahead as much as possible and backrests are leaned forward also? I reckon it's 80in, like the door, right? So far, I'm a fan of Mitsubishi Pajero's seat folding system (ALL seats flat down), but your vid is opening new perspectives...
