Thank you so much for your tips! I'm also seeking my first FT UX role and I was debating between FT work and Freelance/contract work and your thoughts really cleared things up for me. I heard from other videos like as a starting entry level designer we shouldn't start contract work right away because of our lack of "real world" exp (and lack of mentorship/help) but maybe I'm overthinking things 😅😁

Hi Sarah! Thanks for enjoying the video!❤️ I totally agree that contracting jobs lack the mentorship that we all want! If you had the choice between full-time role vs. contract role, 10000% go for the full-time role! This vid was more so about IF you aren’t able to secure a fulltime job. Contract roles aren’t all that bad! There are so many advantages with contract jobs and I highly recommend that, if you get the opportunity, go for it and start learning on the job, contract or not, rather than comparing options 😌

very elementary - I know the process & the flow very well to interact with designers, but I don’t have the technical skillsets to actually jump in and create designs
