I haven't finished watching this movie... saving the other half for this evening as I need to get things done. I am learning Spanish so it was a good choice for me. I'm not having to look at the subtitles too much, which is great! Two lovely characters here, forming a friendship at a time when they both need a friend very badly. It has sad moments, but the script is full of humour, so it's also very uplifting. The casting is spot on, and the actors deserve awards for their performances here. Can't wait to see how it ends, yet I don't want it to end. Should have been a series not a movie.

While I knew this would be a tear jerker, I didn't expect all the intensity to hit, 10 minutes into the freakin' movie! But yeah, here's to hoping that this really launches Natalie Morales's career. Maybe one of the best friendship movies ever made.

I am a European Portuguese teacher and I am super excited to watch this film! 🇵🇹 This trailer seems pretty accurate about the relationship between teacher and adult student. Learning a language is so much more than the language aspect, it's also about self-development, confidence, self-esteem, and social awareness and communication skills.

@blaze14ZX3 жыл бұрын
@@paulwillard81 Technically this is her directorial debut. Plan B was filmed after Language Lessons. Check her wikipedia page.
@paulwillard813 жыл бұрын
@@blaze14ZX her Wikipedia page literally says: “Her directorial debut film, the teen comedy Plan B, was released May 28, 2021 on Hulu. She also directed Language Lessons, a film she co-wrote with Mark Duplass and stars in.” I found out through reading an interview with her that production on Plan B got shut down, so her and Duplass wrote and filmed this one in the interim. So technically, I guess Language Lessons is her “debut” but the Wiki page doesn’t support your claim. 🤣🤪 Also, if a new singer recorded “song A” before “song B” … but song B gets released first, which one do you think people would say was their “debut” song? 🤔🤔
