My content is just as cringe, and I never want to hate on other creators. But the one thing that pissed me off about LankyBox is when they played a game I made. At the end when I thank the player and link to my video where I made the game, they replaced all of my text with a flashy "YOU WIN" screen so that they don't accidently give credit and show the creator of the game. They also brightened and saturated the gameplay, so that's something lol.

In 2020 I made my most viewed video on this channel, and that video was a gift for Lankybox. It was a Gacha Life version of their "Roblox Piggy Song" and it brought me about 1M views. Eventually they reacted to my video and liked it, but the problem was that at the time I didn't realize they didn't credit me. Nothing. Only Adam explaining everything that was clearly happening and Justin going "WHAAT?? HUH?!?". And while I do thank them for being the ones who got me my subs and views from those videos(my gift and their reaction to it), I do not support them at all anymore.

i miss who they actually were.. they were just guys having fun and laughing along making those funny zero budgets back in 2017 even met one of their dream idols and were so excited. i don't know what even happened. i feel bad for them. like did they just do that because they weren't getting enough fame and money? you should always stick to what you love never torture yourself to get popular and fame. as the progress comes along, your fans will support you no matter what you do, they will love your videos but especially for who you are. you just need to be yourself and find others like you and respect, support who you are and what your interests and hobbies are. never give in to the content farming. because then, you'll get a lot of hate from those fans you had. they'll think you're a different person or just sadly changed.

About the "would you sacrifice your personality for monetary gains" question, I feel like we've already done that. It happens at work, when you work you are just doing what you're told to and can't really share your personality. It also happens at school, you also obey the teachers thus also not showing your personality. So I would, but not in the way Lanky Box does. It's too extreme. Question: if retention directly correlates to watchtime, does that mean having videos at 2x speed affects that retention statistic? Personally, i do not like the idea of appealing to the masses. I would rather have a small and dedicated community rather than a sparse one. I Also don't mind fast edits, namely in meme montages because they're usually a few minutes long, have a lot of fun references and sound effects to play along with the gameplay. Although i do feel there is a lack of slower paced content these days, especially in gaming related media i can understand why these people do what they do, it's easy money. the children who watch these channels don't care about the creators themselves, however they would most likely have to deal with the cold looks from anyone with a brain.

I dislike how a game like my singing monsters is being used in bad ways on the internet. I’ve been a fan of the game since 2019 and I’ve loved the games ever since. It’s been great to see the community grow and see people that genuinely love the game, but that doesn’t take away from people exploiting it for a profit.
