In his defense, Moses speaks German with a super thick accent, and I'm sure what the gentleman knows is also pretty heavily accented. As a non native speaker, it can be a real challenge.

The Vietnamese ladies reacted so well to "chua/not yet" because that's such a lucid, succinct answer--it shows a mastery way higher than a simple "no" . Also, Vietnamese everywhere love their mother country enough to use "home" and "Vietnam" interchangeably, as if Vietnam is everyone's home. You showed how well you understand and respected their country all in one word!

The Somali was busy making tasbeeh/istighfaar which is a ritual that's done after regular prayers usually. In such a mood it's hard to quit her istighfar to respond to someone immediately because of time, that's why she was trying to explain to you when she said I have just prayed....... so that u might not take her wrong for keeping quiet a little bit as u greeted her in the beginning as if she was ignoring you!. Felt like the old "ooh you are swiss, you speak swedish then huh.." but in reality VERY few know or care about indigenous languages in south america so I was all "dude...noice"

"À tout à l'heure" is not really appropriate here, it means you're going to see him in few minutes or hours. "À bientôt" or "À plus" is the equivalent of "See you soon"

Anyone else been watching this channel for 7 years? Definitely one of the best there is, wish I had the time and drive to learn other languages but with two kids being a single father it's hard to find time because I'd rather play my guitar when I have time for myself.
