I have so much respect for both U.S. Police Officers and the U.S. Military For Their brave efforts to deal with difficult things they witness and put their lives on the line.
@zx7-rr48610 жыл бұрын
Dude, the US military commits atrocities in other countries at the behest of corrupt politicians. Do you know how much tax money is spent on the military industrial complex? More than the next 10 countries in the world COMBINED, that's how much! Don't glorify our military, because it is a tool frequently abused by immoral politicians. Politicians who should spend all that tax money on peaceful projects (like hospitals maybe) or just not spend it at all .... The soldiers are brave, true, but most of what they do is about 'offense', not 'defense'. Iraq, Afghanistan. Do you seriously think those wars are just, or making anything better? I hate Al Queda, but I hate how we respond to them almost as much. We are not the 'World's policeman', we are the 'World's bully'; and that's exactly how much of the world sees us. Ever thought why recruiters hang around schools in poor neighborhoods? To sign up young men with few other options in life with promises of a fulfilling life .. then they get sent to kill, or be killed or maimed, PTSD and otherwise be f**ked up for life. Plus all the many more innocents killed and maimed in these conflicts. It's not a healthy picture my friend ... read about it and think about it.

@ Yotehunter Go to any ammunition's website, or gun site. Go to any real gunstore, and you will find 20 GAUGE in more than just yellow. Off the top of my head, "Estate: Dove and Quail 20 Ga." comes in Orange and is mass produced and sold. Buying custom loaded shells gives you even more variety. And I've seen a pack of black 20 Ga shells.

Thank God for LAPD. There would be no order in South Bureau were it not for the efforts of Southwest, 77th, Harbor and Southeast Divisions. Let me quote from C. D. Webb, "There is no nice way to arrest a potentially dangerous, combative suspect. The police are our bodyguards, our hired fists, batons and guns. We pay them to do the dirty work of protecting us, the work we are afraid, too unskilled nor too civilized to do ourselves. We expect them to keep the bad guys out of our houses, our cars, businesses, out of our face. We want them to "take care of the problem", we just don't want to see how it is done. That is real police work.

@crisdaninho the difference is is that this is Los Anageles, a world city where people from all across the globe come. Not to mention if you count the murders that occur in the Los Angeles metro area, then its nearly tripple the number of people u say got killed in Juarez. Its not that theyre saying LA is worse or better because it gets attention, it just presents more of a problem on an economic scale than Juarez does. Both are still problems which need to be controlled sir.
@Jazzman70713 жыл бұрын
More police officers = less crime. And whoever's "genius" idea it was to allow CCW permit in California is ridiculous. First of all, LA has much higher population than all the states you mentioned combined. A majority of the people live under or on the poverty line. State government needs to spend more time and money in the local school system, implementing more after school programs and create new jobs in the areas that need it the most. In these areas, jobs are scarce and crime is ramp

I have conflicting feeling about the police not only from objective point of view but a personal one as well. As a Security Patrol Officer, I have witnessed an array of violations against people without the slightest justification, and I have been accused of and forced to pled guilty to crimes I didn't commit. The history of law enforcement is rife with both benevolence and malevolence. But it's the wrongful acts committed by the police that seems so striking and overshadowing in this age of alienation.

Well lets not forget where the American Gangster gets its origins..It is merely adapted from the real gangsters of the past . And if I'm correct it wasn't the african americans or hispanics who spawned this trend of "gangsterism". I don't agree that violence is the answer to battle violence. Once we realize that gangs and gang activity and violent tendencies is a mental condition we might be able to do something about it. Human beings are not violent by nature.

@Jazzman707 Dude everyone should have the right and option to carry a Concealed Weapon, I love what the police does for everyone. But they can't be everywhere at once and can't respond as quickly as we and they would like. So if their is a man with a gun at a Shopping Center and no police officers are around someone with a permit can protect the innocent people around them. To get a permit you have to pass a shooting test and regulations too.
