Also keep in mind Gyutaro poison effects. Nobody has been shown to have resistance to poison besides Tengen and Inosuke. When Tanjiro got poisoned he instantly started choking. So Rengoku is stronger than Tengen I agree but enough to not get touched by Gyutaro or his blood demon art one time ? That’s highly unlikely in my opinion

Rengoku and Tengen are around the same strength because they were early on in the story before marks and everything were truly in effect.

I got a small debate about this. I think Rengoku would be very good at the start, however once the poison hits him, He will start losing very quickly. He doesnt have resistence like Tengen so it would severely hurt him. Also even though Kyojuro is very fast, Tengen is shown to be faster. I think Tengen was the best person for this job except Gyomei. This is because of his Biq and his strength and breathing style and speed, all beating Rengoku.

Tanjiro could not even see rengoku and akaza fight and i do know that he did train afterward but he just leapt into gyutaro and tengen`s fight.

If Tanjiro can manage with the poison as well I don't see how Rengoku can't that poison argument is alittle flawed, Tanjiro at district and Rengoku combo wouldve been quite a explosive one due to the breathing style too, we haven't consider Tengen's wives yet if they were there to help with the Wisteria weakening Rengoku would prolly have a easier time

@@illumination_0109 Tanjiro did not cope with the poison at all, he only got hit by the sickles once during that fight and it only took a few minutes for it to kick in. He would’ve died if it wasn’t for Nezuko, Tengen was hit at the very start and kept getting hit throughout but was still able to move through the entirety of it, I doubt Rengoku would’ve been able to hold off the effects to the same degree Tengen did. The only outlier here is Inosuke, to be honest I don’t know how he managed to survive as long as he did without the same level of poison resistance. Though to be fair he was on the verge of death in the aftermath from the poison, arguably more so than Tanjiro and Tengen

Tengen and Gyutaro`s fight was a fight btw the weakest uppermoon and the (2nd)weakest hashira while the fight btw Akaza and Rengoku was fought with one of the strongest hashira and uppermoon, There is a huge difference btw these two fights.

Remember that in under a minute Akaza was able to blind one of Rengokus eyes and break his ribs/ cause internal damage. So i would say in the beginning he was going 30% against Kyojuro and slowly increased his effort until he had gotten his arm stuck in Rengoku. Afterwards he was trying a lot harder to escape because Rengoku used his stomach muscles to trap him.

@@Khaled68335 Yup considering that Gyutaro was still pinned down by a one handed, poisoned, and exhausted Tengen. While Akaza was giving marked Giyu/Tanjiro the fight of their lives. But i still disagree with the video because Tengens techniques and poison resistance made him the better match against Gyutaro compared to Rengoku who has no resistance and mainly has singular offensive attacks which would struggle against tracking blood slashes while having Gyutaro to deal with at the same time.

Plus I don’t think Rengoku is fast enough to cut both of the siblings head together. Cause that what will it take to defeat them. But even still without Daki. He is losing in 1vs1 against gyutaro. Not only because of the poison. But gyutaro has shown impressive feats and is extremely powerful in his own right. And also, Akaza will have easily killed both a marked Tanjiro and Giyu. but he instead he choose to blow himself up and kill himself after remembering his memories

Everyone plays a numbers game with these match ups. he fought uper 3 so in most people's minds that means he can just defeat enyone lower then that. When in reality it's more of a rock paper scissors match. rengoku would die from the poison at the start of the match just like the other hashira that fought upper 6. Tangen could only fight because he had poison resistance.

why then do you think gyutaro is the lowest ranked uppermoon? because every other uppermoon is better than him speedwise, in battle instict, battle style, battle exp and maybe in hashira deaths. I think rengoku being able to hold his own and even scare akaza in the end versus tengen being helped by tanjiro and the others and dying (ignoring nezuko`s healing) isn`t even a match.

And even when Rengoku used his ultimate ability, Akaza acknowledges his power but his only real worry in that fight was the sun rising.

Comment section need to realise Gyutaro is only upper rank 6 because his poision has no effect on demons. In reality, he is the most dangerous to the hashira because one hit equals death and even brining up nezuko is not valid as she was only able to save tengen because of his poison resistance which he built up all his life. The feats we got from tengen were all poisoned nerfed feats, I don't see any hashira winning against gyutaro and daki alone especially if they're seperated. Gyutaro may be weak against the other demons but against humans he's the scariest upper moon to fight

Idk, but the fact that he wasn't even struggling with Tengen while only using one of his eye's and still protecting Daki show how strong he is. He also give Daki 7 Hashira so she can get stronger, if he had eaten them then no question he is bodying Every Hashira 1v1. Also the fact that he is the youngest Upper moon, while having to share half his strength with Daki, shows how strong of a demon he is.

This poison argument is pretty flawed, we know breathing technique can slow down poison, Tanjiro himself was surviving those poison so a good while. I don't see how Rengoku can't survive long enough to take out Gyutaro, the only thing is whether Zen and Inosuke can take out Daki fast enough

Wow, I see Uzui getting underrated a lot. So first of all, we have to differentiate end of series power levels vs during entertainment district arc. When a Sun breather unleashes the mark, it allows other demon slayers to as well, giving the likes of Iguro, Tokito etc unfair advantages over Rengoku and Tengen. Not to mention training arc where Sanemi took it more seriously than anyone else. Tengen was probably the 2nd strongest pillar at the time of fighting UM6. The author went out of their way to include an arm wrestling ranking, where gyomei was in a league of his own, Tengen was the next tier down an besides Shinobu and Iguro being the weakest, the others were interchangeable. Now, armwresting hardly dictates who’s a better fighter in the real world, but this is a manga where nothing is more important and more true than the author’s intention. Add that to the fact that the manga goes out of its way to tell us Tengen’s poison resistance was important, Uzui was probably the best Hashira for the situation, as we don’t know how Gyomei would react to um6’s poison.

I honestly think Tengen being the one in this fight was the best outcome out of all the pillars (pre mark). Everyone else is wraps purely because of the poison (we saw how insane the poison was without any immunity ie: Tanjiro through the jaw, that man saw god literal seconds after getting stabbed). Tengen is stated as the fastest hashira and second strongest physically and STILL got tagged by gyutaros slashes multiple times 1v1, not to mention his unorthodox fighting style which is hard asf to read. For any of the other hashira that don’t have immunity it’s practically a one shot especially if they are unsuspecting of it. Based off pure logic, the other hashira aren’t dodging his attacks if the fastest one of them all can’t…. uzui = incredibly underrated.

Tengen is the fastest in RUNNING speed, gyutaros poisons will effect rengoku but not as much as u think, muichiro isn't known to be resistant to poison but he was stabbed multiple times by poisonous needles and still kept fighting, rengoku being older/stronger he can definitely hold off for a while but he would still need the help of tanjiro

Tengen was poisoned and very weak in that fight and still managed to be equal to Gyutaro. Tengen even stated that they wouldn't have been in that situation if he wasn't poisoned. The anime overextended the Akaza v Rengoku fight for entertainment purposes, in the manga he gets absolutely annihilated in 4 pages. Not to mention Akaza wasn't even trying, didn't use a fraction of his BDA and gave Rengoku every opportunity to become a demon to the point he sat there with his arm in Rengokus solar plexus and allowed himself to be put in danger. There's not much argument for Rengoku being stronger, Tengen is more experienced, the better swordsman, faster, stronger, better IQ, faster technique, has poison resistance, musical score technique.

Breathing Technique alone Rengoku has the better one, the story had mentioned many times that not everyone can use a certain breathing style due to strength and compatibility. So many of the other breathing alters their style to fit them more, knowing Flame is derived from Sun Breathing alr makes flame way more potent than Sound which was another alteration from Thunder. We've seen how strong a breathing technique the closer they are to Sun Breathing, that alone i feel justifies Rengoku being stronger

I see a lot of others saying the same thing that comes to mind: Rengoku is not resistant to poison like Tengen. I think you're really missing the fact that while you put Rengoku ahead with power and abilities... you're not taking into account that Rengoku is slower than Tengen... Gyutaro was faster than Tengen... so ideally Gyutaro would have no issue at least cutting or wounding Rengoku... and that's the end of that. Rengoku dies. He has no resistance to the poison and can't endure it like Tengen did. Even with Tanjiro, Rengoku would have to endure this fight without taking ONE cut, which is highly unlikely considering he is no where near the same level of speed as Tengen was. Whether he has Tanjiro or not, Rengoku would die long before the climax which would leave the boys alone to face off with him during the final battle which... they would more than likely lose unless Tanjiro went Sun breathing God out of anger from seeing Rengoku die. Give Tengen the credit he deserves. He was the perfect matchup for this fight and he deserves his praise. I love Rengoku, but he would not have succeeded in this match like Tengen did.

notes: Akaza barely tried against Rengoku until the very end when he thought he was going to die. He was laughing, barely strained, only using a couple of his many techniques. Rengoku would swiftly die from the poison Gyutaro would dish out if he ever hit him, however his reflexes, while slightly tired, were enough to stand up to Akaza, and when injured, was able to use a technique that'd startle the upper 3 demon. I think that Rengoku could avoid getting poisoned by Gyutaro, and as someone with a higher battle IQ than Uzui (considering Rengoku's plan to deal with Enmu was much more well thought out than Tengen's was against upper 6, and he knew there was an upper rank far before rengoku knew the situation of the train, we can safely say Rengoku is smarter) if he knew that Gyutaro had poison. In short; Rengoku could very well win against the two if he had the knowledge of their abilities.

I personally disagree in the first part of the video. akaza was not given a run for his money. That's not true. Later in the series, akaza reacts to way faster opponents then Rengoku. At the end of the fight, where he gets serious, he stabs a hole through rengokus chest like it's nothing, which is the most amount of damage he did in the whole fight to rengoku meaning akaza not trying all bda skills

no it doesn’t take him very long at all to use his musical score the only reason he struggled to use it was because of the poison. Once he was able to stop the poison by stopping his heart he was able to use it no problem aslo the tegan u see at the end of that fight was his full strength (minus the fact he only had one hand!) but once the poison stopped circulating he was able to fight as he normally would and look how op he was again with one hand! He even says after looking at tagniro he said “look what i let happen all because i allowed myself to get poisoned” so if he didn’t get poisoned at the beginning of the fight he would of been that beast we saw at the end but with two hands! And its not his fault that he got poisoned cuz he didnt know those attacks poisoned you until after. Would be the same with rangoku plus one little scratch he would be dead fight over, the only reason tegan tanked it as long as he did was because he use to be a Shinobi and had poison resistance. Also tegan wasn’t knocked out fully in the fight he was resting to be able to stop his hart to stop the poison so he could stand a chance against guytaro, oh what u think he just happened to wake up RIGHT when tagniro was about to get stabbed.? Lol plus guytaro even says “what he wasn’t dead? He must of just been resting to stop his heart to be able to stop the poison”. So yeah again If he had both hands he be even stronger cuz he wasn’t even able to use most of his techniques at end cuz of only having one hand and look how he was washing guytaro with ONE HAND!😂 so I actually think a tegan and rangoku fight could go either way but to say rangoku would do better than tegan against upper 6 is ridiculous for the reasons i stated above^^. Also idk if yall read the manga so i wont spoil anything but its very obvious that akaza was using NO MORE than 50% of his power and still HE WAS PLAYING WITH RANGOKU lol. Also rangoku didnt defeat enmu he protected 5 carts from those weak ass tentacles. Its still impressive 5 carts but it was tagniro that killed enmu so. Rangoku is one of my favourite characters but facts are facts. Tegan respects rangoku a lot and sees him as a “natural talent” compared to him who had to work mainly for his strength which he says in the show. Tegan is humble not to mention rangoku was dead at that point so he was also being respectful to his friend when thinking about him but tegan is not weaker than rangoku like i said there fight could go either way.✌🏽

Rengoku as the hashira in the mission would not beat Gyutaro and Daki. Tengen was the absolute perfect hashira to go up against Gyutaro and his poisons. Also Tengen was not "knocked out", he was acting this way to stop his heart to stop the poison flow, and was also preparing his musical score. Another thing we should note is that Tengen is physically faster than any other hashira, and Tengen once lunged at Gyutaro and Gyutaro was able to dodge it and even strike Tengen in the head. Rengoku would have to not get hit by Gyutaro's poison or Gyutaro would play around Rengoku until the poison overtook his strength. But seeing as Gyutaro dodged the quickest hashira like that, I doubt Rengoku could avoid a hit.

The thing that matters most is if you can behead Both UPM6 Siblings around the same timeframe. Based on the speed Rengoku used to sprint up to Akaza's face and impress him he should be faster than UMP6 who is ranked lower. He is far superior to the others (except Gyomei) in senses, reflexes, muscle control, reaction speed and technique speed. Their is solid evidence for it. Upper moon 5 has poison fish he summons muichiro dodged over 1,000 of them coming his way and blitzed upper moon 5 tengen isn't the only hashira who can get past poison. Tengen dies if he fights upper moon 5 and all the other upper moons blitz him. He needed help from 5+ people. Theirs no way in hell that a person who impressed an upper moon 3 is weaker than someone who struggled against the lowest moon. If tengen fought akaza he would get blitz in under 2 min. Hypothetically if rengoku is struggling against gutaro and daki who's to say he would not unlock his mark. Akaza was just too strong for rengoku to get development.

We can be honest, the flame pillar would clap the upper 6th sister, the brother would give a hard fight, but the flame pillar would die since he is fighting a demon that is the real upper 6th and it's super fast, and the sound pillar is one of the fastest pillars, so yeah, the flame pillow would die even if he got close because the poison would kill him instantly😅 Cause it just sounds weird to resist some poison, even he can't resist it, and it took a couple minutes, or a couple hours for the going, and he wants to arm in the process. In terms of physicals i would say rengoku and gyutaro are equal but the poison man. The poison within a few seconds was already killing tanjiro, while rengoku would have better resistance he would still be dead in a few minutes being generous. Theres no reason to believe he has the resistance like tengen had, even if you wnat to say his endurance will allow him to ignore the affects no amount of endurance prevents the poison stopping his heart.

Rengoku dies if he gets 1 cut. Just 1. Tengen has a resistance to poisons, Rengoku does not. And with poisons, the more you move, the faster is spreads in your system. I like Kyojuro, but I don't see him beating Gyutaro in a one on one at all..and if it's a two on one? He definitely loses, Gyutaro's poisonous blood is too fast for Kyojuro, you have the fastest Hashira and second physically strongest struggling to deal with deflecting the blood slashes when they're launched at a distance, and we can see multiple times before Tengen was wounded severely and lost an arm that Gyutaro could react and keep up with Tengen, outspeeding him multiple times as well..and then people will say "Gyutaro lost to a weaker Tanjiro and Tengen", Tengen gets stronger and faster as the fight goes on due to his Musical Score ability and Tanjiro had awakened his mark at that point and Tengen was superior to Tanjiro with the mark, personally I think Tengen is just humble because based on feats and how the fight went, you could argue he's above Muichiro, Giyu, (pre mark) and Kyojuro since Gyutaro's rank doesn't seem to reflect his overall power, and if Daki didn't exist he'd be way stronger because he wouldn't be distracted by her and all he'd have to do is pay attention to himself and the people he fights, literally any Hashira other than Tengen (and maybe Sanemi or Shinobu?) couldn't fight after getting struck by the poisonous blood, and if he hits them at close range they'll die much quicker..you have to realize the only two that got hit by Gyutaro that could still move were Inosuke and Tengen due to their poison resistance, and even then it didn't help much..Tanjiro passed out after getting stabbed once in the jaw, Inosuke got stabbed in his chest and only managed to survive due to his body being able to move the organs around and his resistance to poison, without Nezuko they all would've died anyways..

we have a canonical list of the fastest hashira and top 1 is tengen [that is, without the mark, also, thats for running speed], whilst rengoku is 5th. we also have a canonical list of the strongest hashira and its stated that both tengen and rengoku have the same strength. tengen also has poison resistance and more perfected skills, as rengoku never had a master and has several issues on his techniques (which can be observed on his lack of 5th-9th form of the flame breathing). the only thing about rengoku that is unarguably better than uzui is the breathing style; sound is a derivation of lightning, which is a derivation of sun, whereas flame is the very first ramification. also, flame breathing is probably closer to sun breathing than all others. i dont think there's a world where rengoku can beat gyutaro, with or without help, by any chance, since he wouldnt even have the help of uzui's wives. sure rengoku stood toe to toe with akaza... sorta, this shit is getting too extensive, so im just gonna summarize my thoughts about rengoku's feets: akaza was probably not even taking him seriously until the moment the sun started to rise. 60% akaza would clap almost any hashira thats not gyomei and arguably sanemi, seen that 100% akaza destroyed the shit out of giyuu and tanjirou (remember that akaza only lost due to transparent world, if tanjiro didnt have this thing, akaza would get out of the fight kinda harmless). tl dr: rengoku probably cant beat gyutaro and thats not even because of the poison

Very good analysis but at the same time, I’d say that just based on Tengens specific skills and strengths, Kyojuro might not help much more. Tengen is trained to endure poisons and Kyojuro is not, Gyutaros poison is probably a very very strong poison considering Tengen couldn’t even fight it well. I don’t think Rengoku is fast enough either to keep up with Gyutaro and not get hit ONCE. He might beat Gyutaro but he would die in the process, kinda like if he sliced Akazas head off but died from the hole in his chest. But this is Akaza Rengoku, honestly I’d say after Rengoku defeats Akaza he either would awaken his demon slayer mark or his sword would turn red. One thing people aren’t considering in rengoku fighting the poison is breathing technique’s help stop poisons in demon slayer and if an untrained zenitsu can hold off a fairly strong poison for quite a while I’m sure a hashira with total concentration constant and can literally heal himself from decently serious injuries ( stabs internal bleeding etc ) and he has arguably the 3rd strongest breathing because it’s the most similar to sun breathing other then moon of course and rengoku probably would’ve benn poisoned at a point after Tengen as he has better feats

You compared Gyutaro to Akaza indirectly(or directly) by making some simple statement of "Rengoku reacted to Akaza so he should to Gyutaro". This is not at all the correct answer. A pillars honed senses or reactions come from their amount of experience in the Corp and that's confirmed through Sanemi in ICA. Tengen is the second most experienced hashira in terms of the slayer corp and THE MOST experienced in overall combat and fighting. Gyutaro literally made fun of tanjiro being the most useless in the fight and tanjiro even tells genya that he was the least helpful in the fight. If rengoku avoids the poison, he can decapitate the two himself. But even if the poison affects him, he will continue fighting till he kills them, but dies himself. And rengoku was not matching akaza's strength. Akaza was just playing with him, he could have actually died much sooner than expected. Ain't no way people think Akaza is using 60% of his power against Rengoku nah. I don't think many people truly understand that Rengoku's fight against Akaza cannot be used as a reliable evidence to prove Rengoku's power because Akaza was holding back too much. I know people want to say he is strong because he quote on quote "kept up with Akaza", but what you need to understand Akaza was not trying to kill him and holding back a lot and Rengoku was still losing really badly. How can you use the fight as a feat if Akaza is not trying to kill him, and is playing around with him and he is still losing. The demon slayer Data book specifically stated Tengen is the comes in second when it comes to strength and first when it comes to speed, and that is from the author themselves. So what that basically means is that in base Tengen is faster and stronger than Rengoku not including his enhanced senses with give him faster reaction time, and his muscular score technique which gives him even better perception and reaction speed. If Rengoku was alive and would have gone to the entertainment districted he would have been fucked badly. Think about it if Tengen is faster and stronger than him has better reaction speed and senses, and poison resistance and Tengen struggled badly with Gyutaro what do you think Rengoku is actually gonna be able to do.

Why are you people this bias like this..... The only person that could fight gyutaro & actually win in the entertainment district arc was tengen uzui..... It's the only logical way.....Akaza wasn't even fighting well with rengoku.... He could ended that fight in a minute or 2 with just one demon art..... Saying he was using 60% of his strength is funny...Because he was literally telling rengoku not to die on him.... If rengoku fought Gyutaro, He isn't even going to last that long because he isn't poison resistant..... One hit from Gyutaro and he would be fighting for his life against the poison

Tengen's got more experience than Rengoku, also Tengen looked like he was nearly dying so Rengoku would either be killed or nearly be killed..All i know is he would not come out without losing a couple of limbs

I don’t agree with this video mainly because Rengoku wouldn’t be able to beat gyutaro. Pre mark hashira the best option to beat gyutaro was Tengen. I think everyone agrees Tengen was the fastest pre mark and he still got slashed by gyutaro. If he did then Rengoku would most certainly also get slashed and die because he has no poison resistance. I also disagree that Rengoku is stronger because the data books which are official say otherwise. Tengen is 2nd strongest and fastest ( of we talk in base) hashira which basically puts Rengoku below him In both strength and speed. Tengen is also smarter than Rengoku and has way more experience. The only good feat that Rengoku has is holding Akaza and matching his strength at the end of his life but that could only be a willpower boost showing his great determination. Overall Tengen is better than him.

Even if Rengoku is stronger he would have faired worse in this fight. Uzui is potentially the fasteat hashira and even he wasnt able to react to gyotaros first attack fast enough to not gwt scratched. So Rengoku definitely would have been caught. And without the poison resistance Uzui has he may have died even earlier in the fight. Hes just not a good matchup for gyotoro

Rengoku has shown relativity with Akaza at the mid-end point of chapter 64. If Rengoku gets death amps against Gyutaro, Gyutaro is getting curbstomped.

I think we're in Goku would win all of them because the fact is green Goku was fighting upper demon Moon 3 60% of the power as you said and nearly stalemating him wears tacky and the other upper demon Moon sick so they significantly weaker and you would presume even with the hacks ability we're in Goku would just curve Stomp Them All Because he would be significantly stronger
