Thank you for the review! I have now tried all of the 2022 Larceny BP plus the ECBP B522, C922 and A123, and agree that the Larceny BP A122 is the best of the 2022 Larceny releases. I had to pay more than you did but am okay with the "modest" markup considering how hard it is to find these in my area. I am partial to non-wheated bourbon; so I lean more tot he ECBP, especially the A123. But Larceny BP is on my hunting list from now on!

@@jamesvwalker268 Right! I go up to Blowing Rock a few times a year and there are 3 ABCs, in small towns, I pass along the way. I've gotten lucky a few times, but not often. Western NC seems be rich in allocated products. Maybe because it's so much closer to KY ;-)

@@BourbonJunkies I just finished visiting with my youngest son and his wife in the Silicone Valley area of Cali where it seems every restaurant has a bottle of Pappy's offered at $150 a pour. We ate at a spot in Palo Alto that had all 5 bottles of the BATC behind the bar along with OFC and all the Wellers. I went with Stagg Jr at $13. A bartender at one spot told me he sold an open bottle of Pappy to a customer for $5000!!! I purchased a bottle of Henry McKenna fir my son for $55

Costco had B521 out here in AZ and they were selling it for around 70. The only place I've seen C921 is selling it for 130.

Nose on this one is fantastic. Palate is hot cinnamon bun maybe with some chocolate covered chopped nuts. Finish is loooong. Gets even better with a drop of water and sitting in the glass for a while.

I got cracker jacks, coffee, and chocolate on this one. The alcohol taste and burn was a little heavy to me for a 124.4 (I love my proof and love heat, but this was a little different when compared to my other barrel proofs even the 130s) but after a few sips those flavors come out even more and it makes a delicious pour. I’m glad I purchased a back up bottle! As always, thanks for the reviews guys. Love your videos!

I’m going to have to pick this up. On another note go back to the a122. I had that same nasty makers finish even after being open for a bit. I just tried it again a couple nights ago and that weird finish has gone away.

We loved this too...we had reviewed a bottle that had been open for about three weeks though. It's definitely a buy at $55! And it's Care A Mel! lol 100% would take this over ECBP A122 and we loved the sweet and spicy finish to it. Doesn't taste like a high wheater at all. Cheers and Rock on guys!

Not sure it’s a fair comparison just based on the 2 bottles being barrel proof. Think the comparison should’ve been with another high proof wheater instead of with a different mash bill. I find wheaters to be more on the sweet side versus other bills

I challenge you to some how figure out a way to blind test things like this because it seems to me like your bias is getting in the way - maybe put into a grouping all of the things you plan to review and then someone picks it out ahead of time for the day of the review.

I got a bottle just strolling through a smaller liquor store in my area for $55. Price and scarcity aside, I like it, but I don't love it. I expected more wheat. And the woodiness is strong. But we'll see if it airs out in a month or two. Definitely a buy for under $75. If you are seeing it for $100, I'd probably say pass unless you "have to have it".
