Well, the best advice I can give is to discover which types of yoga resonate with you. PIck a method that speaks to you. Then be a student for as long as possible. The teaching will come from that. However, I cannot stress enough how important it is to be a student and to develop your own practice for a consistent time period before teaching. Another thing, find a great teacher! This is so important. Don't let your back problems discourage you. Anything is possible and IS with yoga!

I have one question. When jumping back from the asana to the headstand, do you support your forehead slightly, not the top of your head? I would appreciate it if you could tell me.

Laruga, thanks for sharing this! Do you have any tips on how to come back up to sirshasana as part of the exit from the posture. I can't seem to get it! :(

Awesome! I would love to learn yoga, and eventually lead into becoming an instructor, but I have a an issue; I have back problems. Would my dream of becoming an instructor be obliterated as a result of this? What can I do? My doctor has given men general clearance but hasnt really told me what I can and cant do. I mentioned yoga to him before, and he said that I would be free to do it once I healed from surgery, but never specified what types of yoga I can do. What should I do?
