Thank-you CK! Finally someone who confirms the fact that trees planted right next to a house foundation is no bueno, and can cause structural damage. This goes for right next to a block wall, too. The roots can and will cause damage, not to mention storms + trees (taken together) = damage. About to redo my pool sized back yard and all I'm looking at for one, and only one tree, is a Utah! sweet pomegranate that grows to around 8 feet, and can be pruned to an umbrella shape. I plan on offsetting the tree in the corner 7 feet from the block wall. No plants next to the structure, thus leaving room for crunchy rocks next to the foundation. Don't overplant the back and yes, know where the drain swell is. Now back to the tour! I always did like the old classic fireplaces AW designed, like in many of their houses in Silverado Ranch, like this fireplace, it's classic AW. And, the stairs are not tucked back into a hallway! I always did find it odd that AW designs their stair bannisters/pony wall with the embedded glass, always different. I do agree with you about that pony wall, btw. Wow, that is a barrier! OK, my opinion about the microwave cubbyhole. It is weird, but without it, the MW would take up counterspace. So heck, CK, I'm neutral about it. But, holy moly, get rid of that pony wall! Holy macaroni, Batman! Pantry is a bit small for the size of house and possibly family living there. Janky (adj) often used in conjunction with "cheap a** piece of s**t ," of very poor quality. no integrity, useless, not to be trusted, no good, of inferior quality. Used in a sentence: That janky piece of jewelry my janky boyfriend gave me fell apart the first time I wore it! Another use for janky: Poorly constructed or put together, and does not seem like it should function at all, although it may perform beyond expectations. Used in a sentence: That entire computer system is janky. :-) I like this floorplan and I do not like this floorplan. Think the downstairs bedroom is ideal for an office. I still think a 9 foot ceiling on the second floor would look better, btw. It seems kinda scrunched on the second floor with the eight foot ceiling. Now the position of the TV in the master does not allow one to set up a proper 5.1 surround system, which can be kinda nice. Yee gads, carpeted master bath again!?! Please don't tell me this is back in style! LOL the carpeted commode!! ROTFLOL! Tee hee hee hee hee! I feel you pain, man. (phew, ee gads, when will this guy ever stop typing.....) Oh can we get rid of those janky columns in the loft? And, they're Ionic columns, too. Other than that, the loft is great. Eeegads, back to a carpeted bathrooms again! Bedrooms are big. I like the plan and I don't like it in certain areas. Always a fun time with the vids, CK, never janky, always swanky!

Not a fan of recessing the microwave. Wasted counter space that you can't put anything. That master bath already looks dated in that color scheme. And I couldnt agree more....who the hell carpets around the toilet. Ewwww.

Thanks for showing this. Microwave port doesn’t bother me, but THREE dining areas does. Kitchen is screaming for a nice island. Instead of pony wall do a pass through breakfast/beverage bar with open top shelves. Drop wall texturing with matte paint, gets dirty very easily and dust sticks to it. Venetian plaster or smooth walls with good grade satin paint. Well worth it in the long run. Finish window trims inside and out, helps with dust and temp control. Yes, Vegas gets tons of dust and sand. It gets into everything so if your are custom building a home think about dust & critter protection. It’s the desert baby, love it.

Don’t like the pony walls I agree that should be opened up along with the shower in the master bedroom. The carpet by the toilet 😷 a removable/ washable one sure.. but that’s just unsanitary. Don’t like the placement of the pantry. House in general tho is a good price and has a lot of potential for upgrades.

I don't like microwaves over the stove I prefer a range hood, I liked that it had it's own space but I thought it was to far back on the counter. All the counter tops were a hideous color, looked outdated ❣❣

I have the same floor plan but from Rainbow crossing (the Heather). We dont have the ponywalls or carpet in out bathrooms and our staircase is rotiron. The house looks great, but some aspects the Landon floor plan does look dated, again I dont have those issues here. Beautiful home and great video! Looking for my brother who is wanting to move here soon.

*No on the pony walls. *Kitchen is a no. For the fridge to be so hugh and that stove looks tiny. It needs to be a 6 burner. *Drawers should be soft closed. *laundry should be up stairs. *The granite (or whatever material) in the shower needs to be to the ceiling. I speak from experience, the paint in my shower is now messed up from water. Obviously this property is a no for me...lol 🤷🏻‍♀️🙈

Love this house!!! The only thing I didn't like was that first bathroom with the shower/tub combo. Mos def frosted glass on pantry door and built-in fridge fo sho. Accordion doors?? Deeper sinks in the MB bath. Dual showers and body jets. Love your videos!! Keep up the great work!

Love the microwave tucked away. 1. Kids cant reach it 2. Frees up counter space 3. Ample room to remove hot contents and be able to clear the microbe door. 4. Secondary appliances should never be a focal point in the kitchen. They should be tucked away and unseen until needed. In most cases this isnt possible as all homes are not built to conceal the microwave.

Counter top mini microwaves are great for seniors because if their cup / plate or container is too hot they can just slide it onto the counter. When its above the stove...there's more chance of burns or spillage. Janky, to me...is messed up. Love the layout of this home. And I would remove that pony wall from the eating area, but I do like it else where. Hope you reach 100 thousand so you can get your plaque. Love your videos and thanks for the tour. Once in your videos you mentioned that you can purchase the home as. Meaning you can purchase the the model home. How often is that the case. My Wife and I are leaving Ga. and are looking for a west cost State to live in. I am thinking of just starting completely over house and furniture and everything. So purchasing the model is more of what I would prefer. Lastly thank you for you videos and the rid bits of information. The one thing that bothered me in the master bathroom, other than that carpet was the windows being so low. They will have to be tinted, so the neighbors can look in when your coming out of the shower because those homes are built too close to each other.

I don't like the microwave nook either... in fact I don't like the window in front of the stove as well, as its only gonna get all greasy and dirty form cooking stuff on the stove... would rather a wall there with a hood vent, and put microwave there. The kitchen island with no cabinetry is a pet peeve of mine with this builder. I don't under stand why? Jinkies??? been watching scooby-doo lately? Door going IN on that linen closet upstairs?? really? Should be opposite - no brainer there. Great showing Chakits!
