Sickening Pauric them river trout are good fun but the better fish always jump and shake the lure 😂👍 keeps it interesting for me, have lost maybe 4 better fish this month (only 40cm+ but big for this stretch) fairly sick of the river now, back on the lake after holidays until the end of the season for some trout fishing 😁👌

Thank you! I’m very lucky as the rivers around me only hold trout no other species. Try some mountain streams, you will find wild brownies on them 9 times out of 10.

Yes very important to work upstream. You will spook far less fish as they are always facing away from you. Pulling the lure into their path rather than away from them. I’d sooner go home than cast downstream all day.

@MCk-23 I’m using the visible braid for bite detection, when using small wobbler and jerkbaits you can see the hits instantly when twitching the lure on slack line 👌

Any brand in 8strand usually 0.08mm for the river, the brand doesn’t matter at all, I’d go off the diameter of the line mostly. Never had any braid break on me.

Yes I met two otters in the past two years, scary enough to meet at night time while wading!
