Not just the power increase but the way it holds the power up top and doesn't fall off a cliff is very impressive!! That is going to feel wicked fast especially in a Foxbody which is a very light car compared to what's out now..

This seems like a killer engine for a lively daily driver. I'd love to have one. I will say one thing that's great about a stock HO with a free flowing exhaust is the low end TQ, those HOs are low end TQ monsters. Mine still has the 2.73 gears and it will just chug if I want it to. The other day I took off in 1st rolled off until I reached 25mph and shifted it right into 4th and I just chugged away and slowly but progressively gained speed up to 50 mph cruise pretty quickly. There's an uphill road that you can turn off onto a street with a way steeper hill I can turn off at 25mph in 3rd and leave it in 3rd and gain speed up that hill just TQs it's way up. It really surprises me how hard it pulls from 2000ish rpm, that seems to be the rpm where it really wakes up and the TQ starts rolling in. It's not a ripper but makes killer TQ for a small displacement short stroked engine.

This is an incredible motor for the money and 87 octane, it's just about calculator ideal and BP always gets more, in every test. But nobody wants their cylinder heads, most of all, I just want the block at $1200

Great video you guys are so thorough do you plan on doing a carbed version or blueprint 347 stroker engine these are great engines for the price like to see them with better heads afr maybe especially the 347
@KingJT80Ай бұрын
Blueprint wouldn't use AFR heads because they use their own "brand" heads It's about economics and that would make it more expensive maybe a little out of people's reach even if the AFRs are clearly better heads vs an as cast "overseas" head

Thanks for the great feedback. We're always pursuing parts/accessories that best fit our lineup and interests of our customers. I know that doesn't directly answer your question, but we don't really touch base one parts we plan on offering. In that, we appreciate your feedback and interest in a 347 option. -Landan

Take it to the track for some 1/4 mile numbers

Now, take out to see what MPG you get on a normal run. Also, that’s a nice range of power, enough for some fun without getting into too much trouble.
@jsimmonstxАй бұрын
The diff in crank hp and rwhp is called "parasitic drive train loss", and is a combination of everything you mentioned. Typically, you should expect at least 15% loss (manual trans). So if they say 361hp, you should expect about 306hp - or less. Your numbers are showing a 21-22% loss from the crank hp numbers, which could be chalked up to weather (a July dyno run in central Texas).
@Haulass95gtАй бұрын
Mostly likely a combination of the small primary shorty headers, weather and a little EFI loss being as it's not as dialed in as a carb that goes on the same build over and over.
