On my own behalf, I will add that Rhaenyra’s desperate decision to bring new riders from the side branches of the Targaryens to freedom cannot lead to anything good. People will receive power, a dragon and... ambition to claim the throne, which is obvious.

You can see that Cole expected ppl to cheer when he paraded Meleys' head but instead there were whispers of displeasure. No Targaryen can disrespect a dragon like that. It's obviously Cole's stupid plan to show strength but instead he has mortolized the dragons in the eyes of the small folk. Now the fear aspect they had of dragons is slowly deteriorating. "I thought the dragons were gods" "It's just meat" Those two statements show the shift in mindset

The way that they brought Aegon the Somnolent in served two purposes. One writing and one within the story. Writing-wise, it delayed us finding out if they were changing the book. Story-wise, the Smallfolk did not see their King is gravely injured.

yep I am tired of the Harrenhal curse. At the very least after being told how to bed was made, I would at least switch beds, but with a dragon, I would most likely fly out to the woods to sleep for a night to see if there was a difference.

If the dragons aren't gods and they can be killed, then what makes the Targaryens so special? They don't have some divine gift that allows them to commune with these gods, so maybe they aren't as powerful as the smallfolk thought

Well, they can use the dragons to advantage in battle. There is that. But, showing the dragons are vulnerable in a real way has major consequences. People know there are Scorpions atop a lot of walls specifically to fight dragons. But, that is an abstract piece of knowledge. To actually see the head of a killed dragon makes it real. I am re-watching GoT, and people keep pointing out that before the Dany dragons hatched, there had been no dragons for hundreds of years. So, we kinda know where this war is going, or its aftermath.

Yeah. That guy pointing out the thing about " the fairer sex" is being pragmatic, not sexist. He is saying "Women usually aren't trained in the art of war in our world". Rhaenyra has no battle experience because there has been peace her whole life. And no classroom military training, because women usually aren't trained in Westeros to plan and fight. It's actually more an endictment on their whole system, than a personal dig at her. TL:DR, Viserys should have seen to ALL her studies once he named her heir to the Iron Throne.

House Black and House Green are both starting to unravel. Rhaenyra and Alicent both angry about not having enough power. Psycho Aemond has become a far bigger problem than Sir Criston now. And Daemon is having hallucinations in Harrenhal Castle, along with the Riverlands wanting his blood.

1. She tried she was on the Small council. Alicent was shutting her down and Viserys Had no backbone and failed to prepare her 2. She was always supposed to be on Dragonstone since that is why the Heir is called Prince/Princess of Dragonstone 3. Sorry that she had a Gay husband who couldn't have sex with her, they tried to have kids but she was NEVER Gonna Rape him She needed heirs.

@@DarthKay093 Viserys told her she had to marry Laenor and start strengthening her claim. She did not start strengthening her claim. That is Rhaenyras biggest issue. She has never really done her duty, she always either neglects or looks for loopholes to get around her duty. Then she procrastinates like Viserys and things get out of hand.

Wdym? I thought this was a great episode and pretty loyal to the book. My only complaint is the Harrenhall plot could be done a little quicker, but it’s setting up future events and the rest of the show has been A+ so I can let it slide lol. I would love to hear your take.
