Prove it! people spout such irresponsible things. Before assuming conveniently, accusing and feeling great about yourself, at least use arguments that may prove or show the high probability of what you are saying. Like asking yourself things like how many ecuadorians live in Colombia? and how many Colombians live in ecuador? how many Ecuadorian movies, radio shows, celebrities, series, telenovelas, etc are shown in colombia or watched by colombians? and how many Colombian movies, radio shows celebrities, series, telenovelas, etc. are shown in Ecuador or watched by ecuatorians?, which country is exposed to the other the most? from there you can actually infer something closer to the truth, by observing which country has the highest probability of being influenced by the other.

I think "Nanay Cucas" is an expression when someone loses something in a unfairly way. When that person doesn't have another option than to accept it. For example, let's say that your friend drops a dollar and you get it. He will ask you to give it back, but you'll say "Nope, Nanay Cucas" meaning that it's yours now and he can't do something about it.
@dubanhm8 жыл бұрын

MsPulimen Thats like the real definition, like when something bad happened to you and you cant do anything to fix it

But, that's actually what "no way" could mean... "Nope, no way = Nop, nanay cucas". I agree "nanay cucas" can cover a lot of contexts but translating it as "no way" it's pretty accurate.
@identifierat8 жыл бұрын
Juan Restrepo Entonces si
@juanes1838 жыл бұрын
MsPulimen si también puede ser. Lo que quise decir es que con No way se logra encajar en general la traducción del slang, o por lo menos para el uso que se le da en Antioquia.

@maloffmagaloff53648 жыл бұрын
I agree.... it's not the first time I've encountered Mexicans who want to sort of force me to see myself as Mexican just because I speak Spanish. This happened to me in Texas. A rather aggressive tex-Mex guy telling me I speak Spanish I am Mexican! (when I told him I know virtually nothing of Mexican people he was rather insulted). I don't know if it's ignorance, but MExicans in the US come across as very pushy towards making everyone Mexican.
@elverymuchobadhombre94988 жыл бұрын
maloff magaloff So a random girl thinks you look like a similar demographic that happens to also speak Spanish and all you can come up with is "they want to force me to see myself as Mexican" Lol how's the weather up there on that horse?
@karenhermar44938 жыл бұрын
Just so you know, the girl in the video who said that, is Guatemalan. So, don't blame it on us Mexicans, that an ignorant ass lady is trying to compare our words to yours. In the Salvadoran slang video, she was also stating that Salvadorans were stealing Guatemalan slang. Clearly, she is a dumb bitch. Don't get offended by it. Heck, I know a lot of Colombians that live in Mexico, and they all cool. Around 13,000 Colombians reside in Mexico. I bet Mexicans don't live in Colombia, as much as you guys live in Mexico! As far as I am aware, we Mexicans have always been cool w/ Colombians. I have always liked Colombians, I think you guys are dope. This whole identity crisis, conflict, or whatever always happens here in the States. Just cause you met a bitchy ass Mexicans, don't assume all of us Mexicans are the same. Generalizing - always be aware of that!

Are these slang words from all over Colombia or only from "Cachaco" territory? I've heard even costenos can't understand cachacos when they use slang.
