that is a wonderful descriptor. It is so wonderful when you find someone you can be at peace with. This is why I recommend living together BEFORE marriage. You need to know what you're getting into and whether or not you can live with someone.: For men in particular, some scripture to commit to memory. "A continual dropping in a very rainy day and a contentious woman are alike. Imagine a very rainy day and a house with leaks. You cannot leave, because of the rain outside; you cannot relax, because of the dripping inside." Proverbs 27:15; and my favorite: " It is better to live in a corner of a roof than in a house shared with a contentious woman." Proverbs 25:24 Looks like this man has found a peaceful woman that he can grow old with. This is what separates my wife and best friend of almost 30 years from all the other women I dated in my youth. Praise God for peaceful non-contentious women. Amen.

I was 17 but I knew right then and there, that there was a connection I couldn't explain but I wanted it to last forever. 23 years later the nostalgia is still there, even though the relationship is not. Bitter sweet but she made the choice.

I love how this teaches us about REAL love. Of how it's not some fairytale, all sunshine and rainbows, baecations, all extravagant (I'm for that here and there when finances permit of-course) but it's not all of that that encompasses a loving, successful relationship. Social media has flawed people's perception of what relationships are about. Glits and glam, all around. It's an eye-opener that love is patient, love is tough, love is a daily choice and it varies in season, how it's in the simple things that are consistent and constant that builds up the strong foundation. Ah man. It's imperfect - at the little quarrel that took on. Ah man, thank you for this. But I did feel a little sad when Stanley was expressing his love language - being bought a birthday card, sounds like that really means a lot for him. But I also saw that he accepted his wife for who she is, and how the wife continues to love Stanley for who and what he is, with his flaws too. Again, human being are imperfect but love knows non bounds. The realness, rawness and authenticity in this is everything. 45 years? Oh wow, may God continue to bless your union.
