My theme for 2024 is AUTHENTICITY. It is so easy to get caught up in family's & society's expectations of us, and pleasing others and worrying how they will perceive us. But truly all that matters is how we see ourselves and if we are truly being authentic. So this year it is a priority for me to feel connected myself - since who else am I living life for?! It's always got to start within, and that's the best way to serve others, as it almost happens naturally when we radiate who we are. There is so much joy in simply being me! My 2024 theme is SELF COMPASSION. Being compassionate towards myself if I make mistakes, if something is troubling me, if the day was too much or if struggling with self-negative thoughts. Ultimately this will lead to growth and protection - growth - journaling/doing things that encourage compassion, which will be protecting my mental and physical health I will release self limiting beliefs, absorbing negative talk & toxic emotional baggage next year

I watched your video last year, making 2023 my first year with a theme. For 2023 my themes were self acceptance and self reliance. Theme: discipline and self-confidence. I was struggling to find words to match my goals. After reading what some others have chosen and why it made it easier for me to pinpoint what matched my own goals. The last few years have been challenging in various degrees, as I'm sure it has for most people. However, 2023 was the hardest of them all after having been traumatically victimized in 2022. Last year I became afraid to follow through on boundaries and reverted to maladaptive coupling mechanisms that ended up harming me more in the end. This year I will build the self-confidence and discipline to focus on my long-term goals. I've learnd that when I don't, I have to work twice as hard to recover.

My Theme for 2024 is SIMPLICITY and BALANCE. In 2023 I have battled a lot with my mental health and I feel I have become much more aware. What I mean by simplicity and balance is that when I go down a wrong path I continue walking down that path. I want to be able to catch myself before it escalates to something wrong. So I want to every week have a reset day, or like 6 hours for my self only. Where I will do anything to reset myself before it ends bad. By simplicity I want to improve my time use. I have a lot of things in my mind all the time, my screentime is way too high, and I never seem to finish anything I start. So I need to do frequently resets to remain simple and balanced :)
