I was robbed a number of years ago at the place where I worked at the time. I still remember how terrified I was in that moment. Since then, even as something as random as a vehicle that's behind me for too long, sends my blood pressure through the roof. My husband doesn't understand, but I can't help the way things like that make me feel. I'll always have that feeling with me.

@janinehering1242 Me too. Hijacking, attempted hijacking, attempted abduction and Home burglary while my son and I slept. Still wonder if they watched us sleeping or if we woke up, would they have killed us. I'm Extreemly paranoid now. I don't make it obvious to others but always checking if I'm being followed, locking doors and other security features. I send voice note number plates of cars if I feel unsafe and I don't date. So yes, it has psychologically affected my life. No doubt about that. I wouldn't say I live in fear but I am extra vigilant of my surroundings and peoples behavior. Typing this out and reading it made me feel a bit sad to be honest. Maybe I do have issues 😔.

Agree that there needs to be better access to mental health services. However there is no way to determine who is going to end up being a serial killer when they are a child. Also some people are just “bad seeds” for lack of better words, and their brain is “wired” in such a way that they most likely wouldn’t benefit from mental health services.

But how come so many in USA.
@juliana.x0x0 Жыл бұрын
As much as I agree with the sentiment, it's not realistic to believe every parent of a sociopath is going to get their kids treatment. Sociopathy is often linked to childhood trauma, so it's safe to say that some parents don't have their kids best interests at heart. And legally it's hard to take someone's kids away, especially if parents know their rights, unless there's concrete evidence that a crime has been committed. I grapple with this often, how I wish I could do something to MAKE people do right by their children, and how so many problems could have been avoided had there been some kind of intervention.

thats cool, but here is a brownie recipe 2 eggs + water - Michelle uses a bit of water with the eggs to achieve the moist, gooey texture of boxed mix brownies without any commercial emulsifiers. And because this recipe doesn’t contain any baking powder, eggs are essential for helping the brownies puff up in the oven. Powdered sugar - The trick to making homemade brownies that are just like ones from a box! Powdered sugar contains cornstarch, which helps thicken the batter without the chemical additives you’d find in a mix. Unsweetened cocoa powder - Michelle recommends using Hershey’s Special Dark Dutch-processed cocoa powder (I used Whole Foods’ 365 Cocoa Powder). Make sure to sift it if it’s lumpy! Oil - While many recipes for brownies use unsalted butter, Michelle’s calls for canola oil, just like the boxed mix. I use olive oil because it’s what I keep on hand, and I love the rich flavor. Vanilla Extract - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla really amps up the chocolate flavor.\
