Man, this interviewer is the best one I've seen in a while. 1:35 PREACH!! I heard a quote once that went like this: “Fit people are not healthy, healthy people aren’t fit, and spiritual people are neither.” Always stuck with me considering that I’ve been all 3 in my life. Was super athletic but unhealthy af, then went really spiritual when my health crashed, now I’m healthy again but not athletic anymore, just walking a lot and stretching etc. I feel many people become spiritual when “knocking on deaths door” so to speak (as a coping mechanism in general). I’m definitely not a spiritual type either. Never was prior to my health issues. Let me tell you that having my health back is FAR BETTER than having muscles and a big bench press. It’s egotistical and silly, and possibly narcissistic, but lesson learned. 04/05/24

Caring too much how the shape of your biceps looks like & etc is a disease. I have been through it. Wow! One of best interviews I’ve seen. The questions were good and the answers were even better. Well, to stay fit, you need to push yourself to the limit. That’s how the body stays fit. But, you have to know when to stop. And you stop. If you don’t stop you have an addiction. Any professional athlete has an addiction. I used to do theater work and I used to love taking people backstage. What the audience sees are finished sets. But, they are finished only on one side. Backstage you see a lot of bare wood and an empty canvas. So, I can relate to what was said. We, who are watching these videos, are the audience. Our view is very incomplete. And it’s sort of one-sided. You don’t see all the practice sessions a musician goes through. Or the ballet dancer, Or the football player. You don’t see the hours of training in the gym. So, if you ask, “How did you get a body like that?” the answer would be, “I worked for it.”

im in the exact same boat... but its the work load i chase not really a particular look if that makes sense.... basically what you said just breaking down the body.... luckily im a person that does many types of cardiovascular work biking/jogging/skipping rope i do boxing even competition wise... now i crossed over to bodyweight training i still lift weights but bodyweight is awesome because you can do a shit ton of reps and reps and reps and the recovery is faster than breaking down the muscle with heavyweights... sometimes change is good i come to realize cant be obsessed with just one thing when it comes to training because things change up all the time injuries, ect gotta be able to adapt in the training.... god bless you brother take care stay strong get some push ups and pull ups in

I think it’s rarely to hear bodybuilders say all these things but that’s the truth that most people don’t know or didn’t hear from others. You can’t have everything at the same time and at some point this sport goes well with some people who don’t get real injuries and it goes bad with others. When you get injured in this industry and keep training and love what you do that’s the point when you can’t stop since it’s a part of feeling happy. Many Champions have been though back or series injuries and won the Olympia or reached high levels in bodybuilding. Its all about mindset and choosing priorities.Everybody should train to look good and being in shape it’s the right thing that’s why we always knew lazar from his abs which are his signature.I really enjoy watching this kind of talk it gives you rich and useful advices that many people don’t like to hear. My argument is train smart and for function if you are a regular person. You can bulk up,but ensure your training is not overtly taxing your body. I find it bad to subject your body to extreme training(which seldom always ends in an injury) if you are not competing nor if it's not your career.

In my opinion your biggest strenght is not even your body, but your mind. Ive learned so many things from this videos, that opened my eyes on how to look at your life as a whole. Though im not a professional athlete i experienced similar health issues as you and i really know exactly how you feel, when you cant workout. I also grew from that and learned that bodybuilding is not everything. Thx for your honest words man.

Ако не ме лъже паметта..90-те години играехте баскетбол в училищните дворове на Люлин, където пък ние малко по-малките играехме футбол или хандбал..след години вече живеейки в Лондон, тренирайки тук в зали аз честно казано не мога да посоча с пръст един запален по фитнеса над 20 годишен, който да не ми е казал "Yooo man u r Bulgarian as Lazar Angelov, that man is another level in the business bro"...

In my opinion just because you don’t have great genetics, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t pursue your passion if that’s bodybuilding. Hard work and dedication still can’t get you a long way. It doesn’t mean you’ll be the best in the world but it’s a personal journey between yourself.

But it's still a competition where you would compete with genetic freaks, so without good genetics for that sport pursuing it professionally is a bad Idea, most sports athelete are in the sports because if passion and the required gifted skill/genetics

that what you said about getting isolated and social on-active is so reconized.because we go for our succes so much, that others thing must wait or get rid of it all together. we as people who want something so bad only see ourselves in a positive way if we are costantly chasing that goal. we get obsessed with this thing, and we lose the normal way of living. like frends, family and so on. they are not so important anymore, because they dont contribute to that goal where chasing. still i put my passion (work) and love fot fitness before so much other things, but im also trying to pic up my social life again. because im living the Corana covid situation for to many years.but its hard to find people around you that share the same fichter mentality. often i see them as bagage instead of company or frends. so i can understand what you told exactly. we only LIVE wenn we got something to go after and struggle for. most people would not understand this. they live the comfotable life, witch is to easy. thanks for the open content!

What is healthy in our lives? This is a good question, smoking, drinking are not healthy habits but people still do it because it is permitted, any sport which drain our mind and physical energy cannot be healthy, every sacrifice has its price, if you want to have a great shape, you eat a lot, train hard and take medicines, as a goalkeeper, i can say that a goalkeeper has to work more than every player, nobody accepts goalkeepers mistakes, we are the first ones who go into the field and the last ones who leave it, running, jumping, catching, throwing the ball, actually this is a hard daily routine and everybody feels how bad it is.
